Parade?

Where’s it ending?

Not at the end of Deansgate again?

It’s really frustrating at the moment as the town hall and Albert Square are closed off and there are no other suitable squares that are big enough in the city centre to accommodate the amount of fans who want to see the after parade presentations and party.

Can’t remember where I read this. Might even have been on here. But I’ve seen somewhere that it’s going to go down Oxford Road rather than Deansgate due to something or other.

Why won’t the parade happen if City don’t win the CL? City have already done the double. That alone is worth a parade, regardless of the CL result. Matt Hughes at the Daily Mail is tweeting shite.
Depends how the players feel - they might be allowed to go on a small holiday prior to the internationals.

Liverpool and others have done their CL parades on Sunday.

Be silly if we didn't do it on a Sunday, regardless if it's just for the double.

But I also know, manchester has Parklife, The Weekend at the Etihad, there's the Soccer Aid at the swamp as well. So the plod will be stretched.

Either way gutted I'll be missing it due to alternate plans ,made months ago

Shame. That would look like sour beans. And filter into the Anti-City narrative. Empty streets/seats = yawn.
It’s a bit of a no win for the players. Turn out with smiles on their faces after losing and they’d be slaughtered

I’m on earlies over the weekend, on a late on Monday and on an early on Tuesday. If the parade is on Monday, I’m scuppered unless I can change my shift. I was working last weekend too. If we win I hope they announce when the parade is asap.

Guessing it will be Monday. Players want to get away to the beach so it's always ASAP. If not Monday then Sunday is more likely than Tuesday, but few people in town on a Sunday.

Agreed Monday if it goes ahead. No way does everyone want to hang around until the weekend after a long hard season.

Doesn’t necessarily mean that they play in the first match. Apparently City’s English players that have been included in Southgate’s squad will only take part in the second Match. Not sure if they’ll be given a day off for a parade though.

Selfish I know, but my only worry is they do it on Sunday. Monday would be great as we would be on a high , regardless of the result in Istanbul, having landed back in Manchester on Sunday and looking to the next City event to enjoy. Tuesday would be OK but I'll have to start moving shifts

First world problems eh...

Totally understandable that it would be on Monday, considering that almost the entire squad have international commitments. Even those who aren't away for internationals need as long a break as possible.

Yes it's shit for those who will still be in Istanbul, but if we lose there'll be no parade and if we win you'll have been there to see us lift the cup anyway.

I've no skin in the game as we go away on Sunday afternoon.
