The club have been advised by the British Consulate in Istanbul that passport will be required as ID.

The club have raised this as a risk and the consulate will have extra staff on standby should someone lose their passport. A replacement would cost £100 and take three days to process.

one more thing about taxis:

one of the things they like the most is (esp airport taxis): if they understand that you do not know the city (istanbul is not a city, it is a big country), they take you to a istanbul tour :)))) they extend the route....

so, when you take a taxi, esp from airport, tell them that ''YOU KNOW THE ROUTE'', make them feel that you know the route.

if i were you, i ll walk down the hill to karakoy (10-15 minutes) and enjoy the pubs at galata bridge or karaköy, with great bosphorus view.

Change before you come out, unless you have a zero card for foreign transactions load a travel card to use as Mastercard. You can use it at home if you have any left or transfer it to a different currency for your next trip.

We're staying in Sultanhamet but I believe there's a party in Nevadze Street how easy will it be to get a taxi to and from there , probably looking around 2am Saturday morning back to our hotel in Sultanhamet

Anyone else having problems checking into Pegasus and downloading boarding passes? I did it fine for the flight back to Copenhagen but not able to do for the Stanstead to Istanbul SAW flight tomorrow. Pretty sure it’s some Pegasus uk rule but anyone know for sure?

We're staying in Sultanhamet but I believe there's a party in Nevadze Street how easy will it be to get a taxi to and from there , probably looking around 2am Saturday morning back to our hotel in Sultanhamet

2 am saturday, taksi is easier. to come back to sultanahmet. you may take it near nevizade or from taksim square.
while going to nevizade, finding taksi may be a little hard. i dont know.
if i were you, i d take tram from sultanahmet, go to karakoy stop (5 minutes). and take the tunnel there (1 minute to istiklal) while going from sultanahmet to nevizade.

Anyone know how long check-in times are at Manchester Airport at the moment? Flying out from T2 this afternoon at 2pm.

Straight through yesterday morning but that was with Jet2 who are better organised than most. Current security wait times for each terminal are on the airport website
