I agree. At this level a win in Europe is never to be sniffed at. A great achievement for any clubs fans.People downplay all but the CL but winning any of the three European trophies back in the day was a major deal, whether it was the European Cup, Cup Winners Cup or Uefa Cup.
I just look on the present cups as replacing those.
Im made up for Hammers fans, great stuff
I think it will grow into a great competition, if only for the great away trips to far flung places. Hopefully less corporate than the CL. Well done to the Hammers anyway.I agree. At this level a win in Europe is never to be sniffed at. A great achievement for any clubs fans.
I hope we are never in that competition, mind, but if we are I want to win it!!
Still a worthy pot to win :)
How come so many of our fans like them?
I've never liked them
Fair enough, it goes back to before I was born then. Nice history lesson.![]()
City and West Ham fans
I have always noticed that there seems to be a generally positive/more positive relationship between City and West ham fans than with other clubs. Just wondering if anyone knows why or when this started?forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk

Actually my reason for not liking them isn't really a good one nor is it necessarily directly towards the club. I was born in Manchester but grew up mostly in London and grew up with a lot of West Ham fans, obviously they were young at the time too, so it's not like we had any sentimental reasons from decades ago. So I was always having back and forth with them and it kind of stayed with me that I liked seeing them get beat so I could have some ammunition as a kid.
Have to say, I was very envious of those Hammers fans last night. It must have been one hell of a buzz for them. I'd imagine there was quite a bit of ale sunk in downtown Prague post game. Hopefully, the blues who have travelled out to Budapest will have similar cause for celebration on saturday night.Occasionally drink in the Piccadilly central on match days and the lad on the door there is a Hammer, top guy. Happy for their fans, watching their celebrations last night made me 10x as nervous/excited as I already was about Saturday

I'm glad someone spotted the deliberate mistake, I was getting worried.Budapest?
