Lol. Flat pitch everybody fearing the worst .... yet we are one wicket away from the tail still over a 100 in front.

Fair enough with Bairstow. Playing the lesser keeper gets exposed against spin. But to balance it out would Foakes, as good as he is with the bat, have been able to do what Bairstow did yesterday? Or what Carey looks like doing now?

They made the decision to sacrifice Foakes so knew the risks they were taking. If England win or draw, I suspect they won‘t change their approach, but if they lose, and mistakes behind the stumps can be identified as effecting the result, then they might reconsider, though probably not until after Lord’s.

I dunno we've won 11 in 13 and are very much in this game so why fuck about with the batting order.... especially when you have a number 7 named Jonny Bairstow?
With you absolutely regarding the attack. Never expected Wood or any of them to play all 5 but on this wicket in this weather we needed him .... makes you wonder about his fitness even more than normal.
