Balotelli and would probably have tried a back heel style pen just for fun!I still wonder who’d take the penalty when Aguero gets his foot trodden on in 2012

The missing piece of the jigsaw. It was the Everest moment. Nothing will ever compare to that moment at the final whistle now. We may have had more iconic or important moments previously but that will never be topped going forward.Watched the whole game back tonight at the same timings as last week. Brilliant. The true enormity of it will take the longest time to sink in.
Who's chopping onions?
I think we are wise enough to realise that football is cyclic and this is our time at the moment so make the most of it and enjoy what we are achieving. The acid test is when Pep goes and who we replace him with as long as it’s not MoyesI hated every minute, apart from one, of the game last night.
Inter set out to do what they needed to do and I have to say I thought they made the game very hard for us. They were definitely there on merit and I wonder how long their manager will be there for? To take them to a CL and be very close to taking it to ET is impressive and I thought their setup was as good as he could do.
We just couldn't find our rhythm and for some reason, I felt we were a bit sloppy with our passing. We always looked like we were due a mistake, but full credit to the team they dug in and pulled through.
I do think that now we've one a CL, we'll start to win others now. It was like when we won the FA Cup, something in the team changed and the mentality of the club changed. We went from losers to winners and when you think about some of the goals in the years that followed - Kompany v United, Kompany v Leicester, Aguero v QPR etc etc it shows what winners do. My only worry is that Pep sees this as "job done" now when I honestly think that with players like Dias, Rodri, Grealish, Haaland, Alvarez, Stones, Ake, Ederson, Foden either being at their peak - or the peak a good few years off - he's got plenty to work with to make sure his legacy is sealed.
There will be debates about the best team of all time in England and without question, this team would hammer United 99, Arsenal's Invincibles and dare I say it our Centurions.
Enjoy it blues, it might not last forever! CTID.

Yeah, once Pep goes it'll all likely change.I think we are wise enough to realise that football is cyclic and this is our time at the moment so make the most of it and enjoy what we are achieving. The acid test is when Pep goes and who we replace him with as long as it’s not Moyes
Penalty? It would be a free kick to QPR judging by recent refereeing decisions.I still wonder who’d take the penalty when Aguero gets his foot trodden on in 2012
He's tired from having to carry Ferguson across WembleyNoticed not seen any footage of Mike Summerbee during the past week ?
Hope all is well
Fuck Me …. Pearce must have taken his dog to Istanbul only for it to get run over by a City bus. That can be the only reason he looks so glum.
Fair do’s to Durham who punched the air in celebration at the final whistle.
Snap! Never watched the game in Egypt due to nerves and a very poor quality old fashioned SD projection large screen.Never watch games on TV, but having hid away during the entire match I finally watched it last night on BT Sport. Game went exactly as you'd expect a final between two quality teams in good form in humid conditions to go. Few chances, one piece of supreme quality to win it, one bit of luck with Lukaku header.
Not sure how else City or Inter could have played it, or how you could avoid other team pumping balls into the box late on when a goal down, a couple of which caused anxious moments. Overall City kept the ball well, Inter had more shots but most of them wild.
Love that shot upthread of the Rodri goal from above.

Agree, the reports suggest Inter were unlucky but it was only a couple of chances. Some people seem to expect City to have 80% possession and restrict all opponents to one long-range shot these days.Snap! Got back in the early hours of Saturday morning and having read a lot of reports online I fully expected more from Inter. City not at their best but if Phil had gone left with his shot I reckon the game would have finished 4-0.
For once we got some luck that was completely missing against Real last year and against Spurs, Liverpool, Lyon and Monaco in previous years.
