He wants to stay, simple as that.

He took a chance on us and now we must take a chance on him.

The staff are impressed with his attitude. Like anyone, won't stand in the way of any player who actually asks to leave.
Course he wants to stay. Probably won't get the pay anywhere else that he gets with us

I really don’t get that though as he will never ever be first choice at City, he will only be a squad player and rotation for Rodders.

He would start every week at Newcastle and be playing in the Champs League, he’d be mad to not be keen.

City did give a chance someone like Zinchenko, similar story of Wanting to sold him within first few season but he constantly refused. Ended up being a happy squad player for 5 years before Zinchenko wants to quit and join Arsenal.

just coming down from the treble !!!..I think it is the talk of Kyle Gundog Bernardo all going, find it a bit sad...thanks for the chat.
It was always going to be the case that some players would leave if we won the chamions league, nevermind the treble.

When it was a remote possibility, I was concerned that Pep would leave & wonder if its only the Premier league charges that have made his decision to stay as he can be a stubborn bastard.

At the same time I thought that Erling could leave for Madrid, so Tolmie mentioning the new deal is music to my ears.

Rice has asked City lads with England how serious the interest is?

He wants to know quickly.

Doesn't sound like we have made an official move of any real sorts yet.
If Pep wants him he can come, I've always thought he was a good player, just had problems with his attitude but if he's pulled himself together and got serious then why not.

He was Bayerns biggest threat in both games when we played them. He’d give us something different and he’d know as every player in the squad surely does you do what’s best for the team and that can me having periods when you don’t start. Even KDB has experienced that.
The problem with Leroy was that other than utd & Liverpool, you knew within about 5 minutes if he was interested or not. Pep treats all players equally, but how would he react if he's 2nd or 3rd option to Jack.

Did you see how delighted he was to have those medals hanging round his neck. Might as well give it another season and see if he get can get a few more and more minutes. We need a bigger squad for the forthcoming season.

Don’t reckon we will go for him this summer but Wirtz is definitely someone who we should go for if de bruyne levels drop next season.

We may not need to use him as a make weight but if we do get Rice we have zero need for Phillips
I've said it in another thread that Pep could convert Philips into a right back and play the Rico role.
If he's desperate to stay but we have Rodri and possibly Rice then he needs to open his mind and try something completely different in relation to his playing position. Pep always challenges the players to do something they've never done before, could be a goer.

Why must we take a chance on him?

Hes not good enough. It was such a poor transfer decision by us even before this shambles of a season he’s just had.

If we can get Rice with him going the other way it would be an absolute god send.

(Seems a nice guy though and popular with all the players but unfortunately he has to go for me)

You would hope Sane has matured some.

Also, did you see that conversation he had with Pep? Why was Sane in tears? Could it be a sign of his regret at leaving City?

I'm rarely in favour of players coming back but I'd make and exception for Leroy. Hands down the most exciting player to pull on a sky blue shirt in the Mansour era.

He'd add something we don't have at present.

Imagine him, Kev and Erling in counter attacking situations.

It’s impossible for us to know , but if hes met and spoken to Pep and Pep has watched him at Bayern, if he wants him and is convinced that’s good enough for me.

That was after mane gave him a smack and he'd missed a great chance

It looked at the time that whatever had gone on between him and pep had been sorted and classy by pep to look after him

He was inconsistent but I'd love to have someone with attacking pace back in the team
