I didn’t in any post say I did. My point is there are going to be a lot of disappointed voters if they think any Party will make a significant difference to their lives. If you recall when Labour last came to power Blair ran a steady as she goes ship. Starmer will do the same. He knows if he is too radical and caves in to the Lefts demands, it’s one term only.

Good grief.

If "steady as she goes" means reducing class sizes, getting rid of NHS waiting lists, etc etc let's have it asap. If you think Blair's government didn't make a significant difference, either you're too young to "recall" it, or you're just another Tory in denial about what your self-serving corrupt nasty party has done.

Not while the Johnsonists vote for Sunak's policies.
Which in turn means that the policies will be more extreme.

It's strange that Johnson was always assumed to not be an extremist, but his main support appears to be the extreme wing of the MPs.
 
With so many current Tory MPs not standing again, and sorting out other jobs, how many would really care if they were out of Parliament now? Then what issue could the opposition bring to a confidence vote that enough Tory MPs would abstain on to force a GE? (That's of course assuming that losing a confidence vote would mean a GE - this lot are so brazen, they'd probably try and carry on.)

They need to ensure in their own minds that Labour will be left such a shit show that they will really struggle to make a difference, hoping the Tories will get back in after one term of Labour
 
On ce this period of extreme politics is over again I might start voting. I'v yet to see what Cons are offering (Its not Sunak or any of the shisters they have now) but Labour are looking like an actual political party that might, might just start to run the country for the best and not themselves. Im not a big fan of starmer, he seems lightweight, we' l see.
