Can we now accept then that we want Rice ;)
If it has got to this stage, I fail to see he hasn't given his approval and that we will allow ourselves to be bullied off the pot by Arsenal or anyone else.
Why the same offer as Arsenal? Surprised we didn’t gazump them
Problem with that is Bellingham said yes to club. All depends on playing time and maybe closeness to home for rice to consider

He’s agreed to go somewhere imho, not necessarily WHU.
That’s my take anyway, based on TH’s recent posts from people
I’m guessing Phillips has agreed to leave otherwise we wouldn’t have bidArsenal ain't Real Madrid. I think the dynamics are slightly different IMO.
We have come to the party late on Rice and have clearly tried to establish a yes or no in the space of a few days.
City were always wary of Bellingham and how it could end up with Madrid.
Rice has had just Arsenal as an option.
Bellingham could easily have chosen to move back to England, I just see the Rice stuff as wishful thinking from Arsenal fans and a London-centric media he needs to remain close to his extended family.
City never get in to a public bidding war unless they have a very good idea we are already going to be successful.
I'm sure Arsenal will be trying to speak to Rice and his agent today to ask what the fuck is going on.
Its not like arsenal have been flirting with other midfield players have they? Seems to me they were trying to get rice to push west ham to selling him on the cheap. BackfiredArsenal ain't Real Madrid. I think the dynamics are slightly different IMO.

True, just don’t see the point in chancing anything when we have the cash but I guess we can raise again if required?
It’s also much more likely we hit the add-ons, unlike Arsenal. Why chance paying an extra £10m until you have to?
Arsenal next bid will be their last one.
City are just better at this.
It’s actually £15M more than Arsenal have offered.…..Why offer the same as Arsenal offered amount wise? Obviously more upfront but maybe bigger first installment? They want £100m so would it not be better just to do the extra £10m and get it done if Pep wants him so bad?

Did Bellingham really say yes to us?
From what I’ve, which is only rumours, is that he was always going to move to Madrid
Certainly the "he only wants arsenal" media blitz has quieted down
I’m guessing Phillips has agreed to leave otherwise we wouldn’t have bid
Never going to happen. How would he ever get used to our language and climate?
It's too big of a culture shock at this stage in his career and he'd be tens of thousands of meters away from his homeland.
