Don’t worry about it, I probably wasn’t clear enough.

We’ve been playing x3 central defenders most of the last season.

So, foden on the left in the place where Grealish has been (I said they swapped).
Then, it’s alverez Haaland and foden up front. Behind them is grealish, bernardo Kovacic and Rodri (Until kdb gets fit). Stones Dias and Gvardiol at the back.
once kdb is fit - we revert to x4 central defenders and drop Kovacic.
 
I must admit I do find it odd that we all know he wants to go somewhere warmer and has done for the last few years. He's also been one of our best players... and yet no one is coming in for him!

Is it wages? Is he unlucky that all other midfielders in Spain etc are better than him? Is it they don't rate him as highly as we do? There's something that's stopping some of the big teams coming in for him but I can't figure it out.

If he wants to go, I'd rather he went before his contract expires. I find it amazing that the likes of Barce/Real/PSG etc aren't offering players in a swap deal etc.

That maybe the case, but for the last 2(?) seasons we've heard a lot about how he wants to live somewhere else. I think if that was my girlfriend and I was happy in Manchester then I'd be telling her to keep quiet, or put out stories about how much I loved living here.

he is not a midfielder, his best position has always been on the wings.
 
Bernardo is excellent in possession. I’m not sure many teams would find the value in him that pep does. He’s not a de Bruyne that can move the ball up the pitch in 7 steps. Just sitting here pondering, I wonder how many teams out ther would drop £50~60 million for him. I feel like he’s more valuable to us than almost anyone else, except maybe Barca. And they can’t afford him.
 
The way Pep hugged him and appreciated him on the pitch at the end of the champions league final suggests he is more than wanted and loved at City. I haven't seen one quote from him that he wants to leave. Or for that matter that the club want him to leave. Personally I think he is absolutely brilliant and has found his home with City. There is no other player in world football I have seen who has scored the type of goals he has over the last few years. An absolute gem. Give him an improved 3 year deal City.

I don't think the footballing side has ever been an issue, it's simply location and culture.

If a suitable club ( For Bernardo) meets our valuation, sadly he will be off.

Have said this all along. Felt same with Gundo, too. Newly married…off we go to the sun & fun!

Some of these women need to understand it’s a short career and when it’s done, it’s done!

Do they just not want to spend their own “young years” in Manc when they could be yacht-hopping in the Med all year round?!

Greedy, selfish and, well, I’m a gentleman so I won’t say it!
 
He's world class and has been a good servant, but the way our support pines for him despite him very publicly wanting to leave is getting a bit cringe.

It's like that mate who's really fit Mrs has tried to break up with him him several times but he always convinces her to stick around a bit longer with flashy presents or conveniently timing a tragedy.

I'm pretty sick of hearing it every summer tbh. Yeah he gets his head down and he plays two positions but I for one am ready to move on.
