Are we not at the point where players if they want City can say no to other teams and just focus on City, even if other teams bid more?
Not if we aren't bidding enough to match the selling club's valuation.

The transfer window is only open 15 days and already I want it to be over. The amount of drama and bullshit surrounding transfers is fucking atrocious!
Twitter needs to be fucked right off along with SSN, Full of pricks and full of nonsense people making up absolute bollocks.

That level headed post won’t go down well Vincent.Yep. But we have just won the treble and our squad is pure quality. One player has left and one arrived. Yes there are some areas we need to address but we are in such a strong and privileged position I’m just gonna chill and look forward to them returning in a few weeks time.
I remember the days when SSN used to be fantastic for transfer news. If it was on there, it was pretty much gospel. Nowadays it’s nothing more a transfer gossip column on live TV. Dickheads sat there with their phones out, pretending they’ve just received a text from Khaldoon. The transfer window is only open 15 days and already I want it to be over. It appears from what's going on with RBL that City are allowing them to buy their replacements before proceeding with the bid for Gvardiol. What’s the hold up on Gvardiol’s deal
You couldn't have teams be potentially unsettled at any time during the season by losing a player. It would be chaos and incredibly disruptive. In theory, teams can make arrangements for sales/purchases at any time, the incoming players just can't be registered. If they didn’t have a transfer window you wouldn’t get all this bullshit! They should do away with it and trams can buy players all the year around
Pathetic post.
The window has been open for 15 days ffs. We won a treble 3 weeks ago so maybe they're taking a deserved break.
Some people jeez.

Well we used to not have transfer windows and it wasn’t as chaos as if is now! can’t remember when it came in though..
Question is was it really Txiki's fault when both our #1 and #2 supposed targets prefer to go to Madrid or stay in London?
Not making excuses for him but maybe we have a list of players we wanted and after 1 and 2 were off the list.. we prefer our internal options (Foden/ McAtee/ Perrone in the middle) vs what is on the market.
If my supposition is true however.. moving Foden to the middle means we need wingers and we might move for a few that're rated higher than Carlos Borges!
Remember when we missed out on Koulibaly and Kounde…? Who did we get a few days before the window closed?Thank you for being rude. Did I complain about the time? No I didn't I am worried because we missed our 2 main targets as replacements for Gundo.
Did you watch khaldoon interview? He also stated as soon as we won he wants more, there is no break for successful people, breaks are for pathetic people.
(I wouldn't usually use such language but you should realise you don't need to be rude to express an opinion, just because you don't agree doesn't make it a "pathetic post")

And how did that turn out? Oh right, with a treble, as Nathan Ake and Manual Akanji stepped up.Yes I know but there are also occasions when we have got it wrong. This window feels like it could be one of those.
Like last season who we got last season to cover for rodri LB? Kelvin and Sergio, the former couldn't buy a minute when gundo and rodri were clearly in need of rest and the latter who was shockingly bad on the rare occasion that he did get on the pitch
We had our own evaluation of Rice and Arsenal went above it, that's why we pulled out. We have done it before with Curcurella and Kane in recent windows. We will not go above what we feel is a reasonable price. To be fair I don't think we could have done anything about Bellingham going to Madrid but I don't think Rice preferred London and that's why we pulled out, I find the one bid and then dropping out a bit frustrating.
I think that those not sure about him will be pleasantly surprised. He is a top quality player.I try and avoid commenting during silly season as it’s not a place for sense to reign until the season starts but having read a few pages back, one would think that Kovacic still plays for the opposition.
Hasn’t kicked a ball in sky blue and already getting pelters.
Typing all this now, just realised there’s no point. It’s silly season after all.
Enjoy your weekend blues.
Rightly soWe had our own evaluation of Rice and Arsenal went above it, that's why we pulled out. We have done it before with Curcurella and Kane in recent windows. We will not go above what we feel is a reasonable price.
It means we are less likely to be taken the piss out off as teams know we are willing to walk away
