PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Just out of interest I watched the Piers Morgan show, in the first minute i was laughing.

When the guy stated that we were taken over and had financial rules that we had to follow.

No we fucking didn't, when we were taken over any club could spend what they wanted, they soon shit the bed and decided to introduce rules designed to stop us.

Fuck the lot of them.

A quality venue. When I was at uni and living in Fallowfield I can still remember going there to the late night screening of Brannigan, a poor mans Dirty Harry-style cop film with John Wayne. Half way into the film there appeared this small black blob on the screen, which eventually got bigger and bigger and then turned red. The film had gone up in flames and melted before our eyes! The late night shows were great after the pubs shut in the 70s. A strong smell of beer and people openly smoking weed. It was a very different time.

Agreed. I assume the leak came from UEFA or the PL which has all the documents. The bottom line is that you can be sure Richard Masters is sharing everything with LFC and MUFC who are using it to damage us. This is why we need an independent regulator.

Nor am I suggesting that Piers Morgan, who helped popularise this story and had Matt Lawton write it, has any unofficial connections to Qatar and that his status as one of the only people who interviewed the Qatar Secretary-General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy in the run up to the World Cup and was authorised to ask questions on migrant deaths to him is any sort of evidence of this. Yes, Piers Morgan vivaciously defended the Qatar World Cup by every metric and was a guest of the Qatari World Cup Committee during the event (to which he tweeted a glowing review) and publicly and furiously criticised the BBC for failing to show the Opening Ceremony. And yes, Piers Morgan took upon the role of Defender of Qatar against Joe Lycett whom he accused of hypocrisy for his LGBT stance.

But you have to realise that these are all tenuous connections that are randomly strung together and we cannot fall into a conspiracy theory that suggests that this was in any way a co-ordinated attack upon the club. That would be libellous you see. Michael Bolingbroke and Piers Morgan are excellent and trustworthy professionals with spotless histories, and I wouldn't like anybody to take the wrong impression that I'm implying anything about them personally or professionally or that I'm accusing them of any impriority as that's certainly not my intention.

It also highlights the prejudice against us out there and increases our chances of successfully arguing that we can't get a fair hearing. Then of course there's also the chance that somebody who knows a bit too much may blab and show that the PL is leaking info again... which will benefit us enormously

And what role if any did Micheal Bolingbroke play in this? There's a fun name for you to start Googling connections and positions of. I know people might concentrate on his work between 2007 and 2014 but I'd suggest looking at 2015-16 and what other "clubs" he set up to start putting these points together in terms of opportunity and perhaps his work in 2019 that led to a somewhat failed venture in terms of motive. One day I'll write a book on all these fun little connections inside these types of organisations.

But that's all speculation, I'm not accusing him of any wrongdoing of course. That would be libellous.

Yes that is the person I was referring to. Not that I'm implying any wrongdoing or corruption on any part. It's just tenuous connections between some people who have nothing to do with any sort of coordinated attack.

As you can see from the following link, the many years of diplomatic war between Qatar and Abu Dhabi, and its newest powerbroker in Sheikh Mansour, is now over and they are really trying to be good friends now so the idea that Qatar attempted to diplomatically undermine the newly promoted number two in the power stakes of the UAE is really a far fetched idea.
