Not sure that's well quoted tbh - I'm sure Sam also said that if they don't look to sign a midfielder, they could move Bernardo inside more often and if Mahrez leaves, they would look for a replacement.

I’m not backing up or dismissing anything that source says but City not signing any wingers unless one goes (Mahrez) makes sense. City want Gvardiol, the rest is dependant on who goes.

Incomings will depend on outgoings and I think that’s fair. We all want to see an exciting window, but there’s no point buying for the sake of buying if players don’t leave.
Fwiw I’d much rather keep the likes of walker, Laporte and silva than sign replacements

Don't get this hate for Sam or any other jouro while people belive whatever alleged ITKs write on this forum. If Tomorrow Sam puts lut exclusive saying Gvardiol will sign then he will become good guy. People just want tk read and listen what they want and if they don't get it,journo becomes fraud wrong etc
