In fairness, I’ve never seen it this bad. What has happened today is headline news.Is this now the third time in a year that Twitter is dieing and it’s……….still going.
I think he has seen asset value crumble still further and advertiser revenue fall - why pay for adverts if no-one can see them? - and anger from users. Yet another gamble to convert into a PPV platform by stealth is failing and I assume its now about how much of the $44bn he overpaid for the platform he wants to lose
The way he is going about it more people will just leave the platform and it could easily another MySpace
I think Sky buying Myspace was also impressive back in the day.$44bn for a site that could never make money itself.
It's essentially an aggregator of stuff happening on other (money making) sites, organisations and other platforms, i.e. television.
Should have been run/sold as a low profit making site.

He's trying to get off Google Web Services and move to (I think) AWS. The contract with Google expired yesterday but he hasn't moved everything off it apparently & won't pay them. So, unsurprisingly, they've throttled Twitter.It sounds like a technical limitation being spun as a necessary measure.
