PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Jeepers7 is correct.

What we ALL think Jeepers7, is the red cunts you support, as well as the cunts at Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, etc, UEFA, their cartel clubs, and the PL, have waged a 15 year war and campaign to try and destroy Manchester City Football Club.

Whilst the shit stain of a club you support has been funnelling money through the tax havens of Delaware and the Cayman Islands with impunity, and racking up debts of £1 billion without any consequences or punishments.

Go and fuck yourself, along with the rest of the Rag support.

Crossed my mind also, but can they do that?. We may not be in at the start but surely there would be promotion and relegation.

Doubt that the American model is a closed shop, they dont do sport in the true meaning of the word.

I mean they have a world series in which only they take part !

Perhaps that knobhead Jeepers is getting confused. I dont believe City are guilty.
If a dipper or rag try banging on about us being cheats nowadays I just smile and say yea, because I know that winds them up even more lol
That doesnt mean I believe City have cheated, it means I cant be arsed to have a discussion with them about it. Because there is no point in it, in their eyes we a guilty.
Life is to short to argue with these knobheads

One thing that I cant get my head around, in hindsight if I am understanding this correctly we could have just taken out multiple loans totaling a £BILLION for our transfers and as long as we covered the interest we would have been untouchable. If this is the case then why would we even consider inflating sponsorship deals? There would be no need for it.

Lets say we used the bank of Abu Dhabi and negotiated a really low interest rate of say 0.5%, what could the PL or Uefa do about it?

They’ve put their own video on YouTube. It’s an hour long so can’t be arsed watching it. Hatchet job on CAS from what I can see.

Apologies if this has already been posted and discussed or if this is the one people are already talking about.

So basically, CAS bad, 115 charges good, but then final statement that the current governing bodies not fit for purpose ‍

Not allowed to spend more than you earn

Thing is, if we had cheated the system even to the tune of trillions, but not won a thing, they'd not care one jot.

This is about having their noses shoved out of the trough, their business models destroyed and good old plain jealousy.

Turned it off in less than 20 seconds.

“People are saying” I had visions of Donald Trump, fuckem.

Or basically any organisation that actually looks at the evidence and forms an impartial opinion that doesn’t coincide with City being guilty of everything because “everybody just knows” is bad.

That ‘exclusive’ YouTube vid has certainly got fans of the Red Cartel snapping like starved sticklebacks.

I wasn’t too fussed about the forthcoming season, there’s no real pressure on us now the CL monkey off our back has been lifted.

Ah sod it, let’s go for an unprecedented 4 in a row, and B2B CL’s at Wembley with 60-70k Blues and thousands more in the bars, before we get relegated back to Division 2 (which won’t happen anyway)

“115 charges, you’ll never sing that”
I like the cut of your jib..

I always used to be (I hope) fair minded about footy, given the coaching I enjoyed as a kid when playing. This meant respecting your opponents on the pitch, recognising their talent and trying to out-think them to win games.

It also spread into the way I viewed teams other than City, enjoying the way they played and wishing them well in Europe (eg Spurs under Bill Nicholson; the Liverpool sides under Paisley and Dalglish; Kendall's Everton; Forest under Cloughie; Arsenal under Wenger and so on..) Same went for many continental sides that played the game the way I enjoy watching it.

I always advocated that the game was all the better for the sharing of trophies.. West Ham win the FA Cup one year, Coventry City the next and so on again.

But since the shenanigans that started in 2008 with the collective efforts of the 'Hateful 8/9', the G14 and subsequently the G18, my attitude has changed altogether. Earlier this year, when the latest nonsense began against us yet again, I posted the following. Somehow, I don't expect my opinions of our detractors, both in the game and in the media, will ever change back to those of my younger years. In answer to the question 'Would you prefer PL or CL this season?', I wrote:

"Nah, f*ck it and f*ck 'em all among the rest of the so-called football 'family'.

I want the quadruple, to be followed by the quintuple when the Community Shield is played for the following August.. what a team photo that would be..

And then I want it for the next three consecutive seasons. At least..

I'm getting forgetful.. did I say 'f*ck the rest of them all'?!"

People keep saying this without understanding the accounting and FFP issues, so you aren't understanding it correctly.

Yes we could hypothetically borrow £1bn from Sheikh Mansour, interest free, at a low rate or even at a commercial rate. But that goes into the balance sheet as a liability, with the cash going into the balance sheet as an asset. That's the double entry.

But FFP doesn't look at the balance sheet so there's no issue there. If we then used some of that money to spend £250m on players, then the balance sheet entries reduce cash by £250m and increase intangible assets (player contracts) by £250m. Again, that just impacts the balance sheet, with no impact on FFP.

However, we then have to amortise those players, which appears in the P&L account. That would amount to £50m a year over 5 years. That's an expense, not a balance sheet item, and impacts our profit or loss. And then there's the wages of course, plus interest on the loan. Let's say those are £100m a year. So we'll have added £150m to our expenses.

That's OK if we have enough revenue from the three normal revenue streams -TV, Commercial and Matchday - to cover this additional expense (plus all our other expenses) without breaching FFP, and loans are NOT revenue.

In summary, we can borrow as much money as we like, but our expenses still have to be commensurate with our revenue.
