I had the same, my rag brother in law ( now ex) used to say “paying for that shite, you have been done” another example of their arrogance, he certainly wouldn’t be taking the piss these days.Dunne 22

You were lucky if the Phillips run shop even stocked them - as for printing....No one. they didn't have names on shirts
Same, always wanted David White though.I couldn't afford a name on my back, or even the shirt tbh. (Having a football wasn't even a sure thing) . But I played as Mark Hateley.
I played like Pele though.
Oops! Was that a shop for sharpening things?
Thats going to be worse than your not straight 1 if its got a R in the middle :-)I got my first City shirt from Donaldsons sports on Hyde Road. It was sky blue with white round neck and cuffs. My favourite player was David “Waggy” Wagstaffe a tricky winger who went to Wolves. My Mam sewed a number “11” on the back bless her but one of the “1”’s was not quite straight !
Looking at my grandson who’s 6 - and a fifth generation blue - it’s number 9 Haarland of course.
same for meWhen I was a kid, you just bought a generic light blue shirt and sewed the City badge on it. No names on shirts back then, and no squad numbers.
