Who did you have on the back of your shirt as a kid

Didn’t have a name but had a big bloody wooden rattle in the 60s
I remember us all making one of these in woodwork, was part of the curriculum, mine had ‘MCFC’ painted on it sky blue, they banned them shortly afterward so didn’t get many days out at Maine Road unfortunately.

Names, only ever had one and that was Haaland, snide one for £10 and didn’t get a choice, not really for me, rarely wear any City shirt anyway though with the exception of the ‘St Marks’ one, don’t really possess the tolerance to put up with random gobshites.

Kinky, Distin, Anelka, Ireland and then I hit adulthood.

Brightwell 11 when I was about 16 or 17.
At 50p a letter it was a huge financial commitment, more expensive at the time than paying to stand on the kippax

Didn’t do names on shirts when I was a kid

My gran and aunt worked at Umbro though and always got all the gear including full kit whenever they changed them which was every 2/3 years

Best kit was the 81 home kit we also had rain coat when we got that one
