We’re lucky in respect of the time left in the days play, should allow the bowlers to go full pelt (ish) and put their feet up tonight, the fact they’re having to bowl every day on a test match is crap & made worse by them having to score runs as well…..fuckin ell we’ve caught one!

Three hours today - at usual rate that's around 40 overs.
Broad/Wood - 4/4/4/4/4 from one end.
Woakes at the other end will benefit from the tea break, but might get to 10 before they need to call the spinner.

Need to get Labuschagne before he gets set, as these two and Smith will happily bat time and pick off runs.

This is one of those afternoons where England and Stokes mounting a counterattack is just annoying because it shows there were loads of runs out there for Bairstow and Ali if they just kept their heads for a bit.

When was the last time Ali kept his head?

I'm reading through them and wer losing by an innings etc ... then I look at the score card and we were 26 behind against the best team in the world .. makes sence
As England fans, we hope for the best while mentally preparing for the potential for it to turn to shit. Also, we judge our expectations on recent performances. Which even Stevie Wonder can see, have been underwhelming.

Prior too this series in which we have been in every game , the results have been a huge upturn.
We're playing against the best team.in the world, and have had a good chamce in each game to go on to win, yes we have failed ( so far ) but it needs some perspective

We have essentially a 3 man bowling attack and one of those is a speedster known for breaking down.

And his speed has noticeably dropped today unsurprisingly. I'm seeing a lot of 90/91mph balls and none of the 95/96 mph of yesterday.

Someone is throwing an inflatable paddling pool around in the crowd.

A sentence that you would literally only ever read about a crowd at the cricket.

Obviously never watched us in the dark times

Only the foolish were predicting a big series win (3-0, 3-1 etc). It was never going to be easy. But gifting them games is infuriating. If they'd had to play out of their skins to beat us, that's one thing. But they haven't. We've handed them those first two tests.

Yeah, I picked up on that too.

From memory, he reached as high as 153 kph yesterday (almost 97 mph!) and was consistently clocked at over 150 kph. Today he’s been more in the 144-147 kph range. It’s still quick but a noticeable drop off nonetheless.
