The season starts in just 3 1/2 weeks. Doubt the club would wait half the transfer window before even asking which players that may want to leave. Seems more like something the rags would do, not the best run club in the world.

I'm sure the club already knows, and a lot is happening behind the scenes. We just dont advertise our transfer plans openly in the media like other clubs.

I think this has been covered elsewhere, it's not simply numbers.
I seem to remember someone posting a graphic related to squad with the various "pots" and the allocations. I think it read as we've currently 1 free spot for an "overseas" player, so in order to buy we have to sell.

Others are buying and selling. It will be a while before we know if that means improving. Every summer we think a team has improved only for them to then have a stinker of a season.
We can barely improve, what we have to do is maintain our level.

It's not an issue, guys like Perrone and Gomez could easily be loaned, and Laporte is still likely to leave. Any of Walker, Mahrez, Bernardo could still leave. If there's a player they want, they will find the squad space for it.
