Lavia is the best player to be relegated from the prem ever according to the people on here, he looked half decent in an absolutely woeful southampton side, i genuinely think people think he is up there with prime yaya, he is a tidy player absolutely but dont let the hype fool you (especially the liverpool hype)

Starting to feel a tad concerned. Little activity, having missed out on our main targets, with the exception of Gvardiol.

Making late moves after all our rivals have been given financial leg up from Saudi buying their castoffs..going to be tricky.

Would never doubt Pep, but it reminds me of the summer after Mancini won the title.

It's taken me seven years and fourteen trophies to learn that worrying about this City side is just a waste of energy.

Short of turning water into wine, I don't know what more they can do to convince people we're in the safest hands in the entire sport.

So Bernardo is Gundo's replacement (if he stays, as he's wanted out for 3 years), and we wouldn't replace Mahrez would that mean Foden/McAtee/Bobb as the RW options? Lot of talent there but, Foden aside, not a lot of experience.

With Bellingham then Rice then Bernardo, it feels a bit like Txiki has said we aren’t having a Maccies because we've got Wagyu burgers at home... but they might be off.

You've also got Bernardo out right and Kovacic in the middle, with Alvarez dropping deeper too. Alvarez is certain to get more game time, so we'll tweak the system as we have always done.

No guarantee Mahrez is going anywhere anyway.

Does Mcatee play RW cause I thought he'd be why we don't replace Mahrez but from the Sheffield United youtube channel, he seems to be playing more as a 10 or a LW in the games he's played for them

you know fiver premier leagues in 5 years , i might be speculating here, but they might, JUST MIGHT, know what they are doing

Don't think he has done but I've seen it mentioned as his pathway.

I can see why Mahrez might want to leave and judging by Pep’s comments after the FA cup semi final why we might let him go. If he leaves though he has to be replaced.

There seems to be an implication from Sam Lee that if he leaves he’ll be replaced internally with Foden, McAtee etc. To me that seems insane, losing a huge amount of goals, assists and our only real right winger without a replacement seems to be courting trouble. Mahrez was our match winner against Chelsea (3 times), Spurs and the FA Cup semi. He had 15 goals and assists in the league last season despite only 23 starts. That’s not easily replaced and extremely unlikely McAtee and Bobb between them hit those numbers.

We don’t seem to be linked with anyone apart from Gvardiol though which is surprising.

Of course we have no idea what City are doing, we could have no plan to replace Mahrez or a list of targets contingent on him leaving. Hopefully the latte.

I’m very confident Phil is going to play there and not in the middle. Let him make the spot his own and take his game to elite level with consistency & that comes with nailing down a position. When Kevin hangs up his boots is when I see Phil going central, currently he loses the ball far too much centrally for Peps liking, Pep only seems to like one maverick in the central positions in order to control the game.

We had a German shepherd when I was a kid and she used to cry every time my mum went to work, acting like she'd never see her again. Doesn't matter that it happened at least five times a week for over a decade, she never learned.

That's what it reminds me of. I could turn up in a DeLorean with Doc Brown in the passenger seat holding the sports pages confirming we've just won our fourth league in a row and some on here would still be worried about Liverpool signing Alexis Mac fucking Allister.

They must have hit menopause...
Would be absolutely wonderful if we could stop with the misogynistic posts on this forum. I mean, I don't hold out much hope but there are quite a few posts which are honestly seriously offensive to female readers.

Do any of you who post this crap give a shit? (Any females unclear on what to expect from male fans at games only need to visit here and all will be clear.)
