Feels like a very weird transfer window this. Lost out on our 2 big midfield targets and haven't been linked with anymore. A lot of big journalists were saying Pep wanted other players in the year like Mac Allister who got snapped up fair enough. Then the the targets like Maddison who Pep wanted he was told no as there was bigger fish to fry but these fish haven't been fried so to speak. Before anyone says it the window is still open I know but city normally like to get their business early, now seemingly dragging their heels about Gvardiol too.

No idea but I do know it will have been talked about and planned.
Trust the process, eh? I agree City will have players in mind, but some of those players may have moved already this window. Plan B may have to be used.

Take Gvardiol for example we seem to have been very clear about moving for him without even moving Laporte on.

Of course trust the process ,why would I not. There haven’t even been that many moves yet certainly no wide players we have beeen linked with and until we know for sure Bernardo’s position and maybe we already do doubt we’ll move for anyone.

Honestly. I think some people need to take a break from this forum until September 1st
Seems i'm going to have to. The Bluemoon transfer committee have assigned me full time watch at Barton Aerodrome starting Monday until end of August. Seems we are struggling for cover, school holidays pffft.

Anyway EB is assigned to supply me with weak tea and corned beef baps with piccalilli, and at weekends to keep my spirits up a couple of manchester tarts.

I only have a telescope, anyone have any spare binoculars?

Who do you think club would replace Bernardo with if he goes and same for Mahrez?
i dont have a clue but i dont have doubts the club will have an idea....... Im not 100 percent sure bernardo actually leaves personally (although im fed up of this every summer). I think the club have kept their cards close to their chests this time about who we are signing as replacements for players that leave

Not challenging your perspective, was genuinely interested who you think we should go for if they leave, after all you are a City fan. I trust the process because I don’t really have much choice, but I still have players who I would like to see replace players who might leave.

Alvarez and Foden for wide IF Silva is staying. If they both go, its hard to find anyone like Silva in world football but a long time left in the window and we have the best out there to plan and do what they think is needed.
I’m hoping Foden drops into midfield this season, shows us his David Silva skills that he learned. Think it will be a big year for him.

Personally I think if Bernardo goes Foden replaces him. Of course that leaves who then takes Fodens minutes either wide left if Grealish isn’t playing,or right especially if Mahrez goes. As for who I don’t follow teams outside the P/L and have hardly heard of many of these names mentioned. A few of the wide players that do get mentioned I do know don’t look like Pep wide players to me.
That’s why I don’t worry about who we decide to bring in because Pep and Txiki understand what type of player they want far better than any of us.

Most of our goals seem to come from the players in the centre.

In that sense pushing Foden to the centre who is one of our best goal threats is a good idea.

With Haaland, KdB, Alvarez and Foden I dont have doubts about having elite goal scorers.

If we lose Mahrez we can manage without any signings, Grealish and Bernie start on the wings with Bobb/Palmer/McAtee is great cover imo.

The problem really comes in if we lose BOTH Mahrez and Bernie, then a winger must be signed.

Id prefer a LW signing anyways since the 3 youth players are more RW anyways.

Xavi Simons is the perfect signing.

I still live in hope that I’ll have a threesome with Kylie and Danni Minogue. I believe more accurately we should call it forlorn hope.
Quite unbelievably back in my teens I was offered such a threesome with Las Minogues when I was backpacking around the colonial backwater.

Equally unbelievably I turned them down as I’d brought my special VHS tape with me and my football sock.

Better the devil you know.

Fair play Blue, and absolutely correct on that last sentence. I have in mind players I would like but they may not have the skills for the type of role the club are looking at.

This window reminds me of the times I have (regrettably) gone clothes shopping with my Mrs.
Fuck all happens for ages with you are just stood like a vacant faced pleb. Eventually you are pleading, nay, begging, for something to be purchased.... just ANY FUCKING THING!
Got that settled before saying I do...near the top of the list of things that were simply non negotiable LOL...

You wouldn’t think we’ve done a treble if you take a look at twitter because the meltdown is actually embarrassing. Let the window pan out. It’s like if we don’t do it we’ll get relegated. Most of the exits were expected and ones we’ve known of for a while. We will get it sorted and yet again a lot of people will look like fools come April/May when Pep finds a solution again lol.

Remember the infamous "You can't win anything with kids line"? Well wouldn't it be marvellous if we could go out there with Foden, McAtee, Palmer, Gomez, Rico and Bobb getting regular minutes on the way to more trophies?

That would be more satisfying than spending a boat load on players that have a negligible impact on our squad.
