One thing that I think people are forgetting is that we stayed pretty clear of injuries last season, particularly at the business end of the season. Can't guarantee that will happen again, which makes me thing we definitely need to get in a couple more even if no one else leaves

It’s a good move for him, but I’m starting to think why don’t we just play him and let him replace Mahrez. He has all the talent and we don’t always need ready made replacements

Thought we’d replace Mahrez with a new winger instead of an inexperienced kid from the academy. Mahrez is a winner even if you think he’s not all that , he’s a winner premier league , champions league , International winner with his country.

You don’t just replace that with an academy talent. You replace a winning mentality with another experienced Winning mentality. Or at least experience at he highest level.

That surely means no academy player will ever play for us then? As all of them haven’t won’t the champions league or scored international winners

As with Lewis - if they have the talent at some point you just have to give them a chance

Maybe that's why Lewis seems to stay like Foden.

And maybe Cole needs time away from City to develop his personality which seems a good plan, from the distance.

Yes give then a chance but don't thrust them straight into a major role in the team, even Foden wasn't put straight in as a replacement, it was over time, same with Lewis he's not been thrown in as a replacement he's had a couple of appearances. Mahrez has come up with crucial performances over the years for us in the Champions league and Premier league, you don't just throw an academy kid into that role as a replacement.
