I don't get the hate for Cancelo. Sure, he has shat the bed and will go because of it, but some of the comments are OTT. He was a big player for us and a part of our previous seasons' success, he had one meltdown which seems beyond fixing. But he deserves a bit of patience till he gets his move.

What was the last tweet that told us something that we didn't already know?
For me, it was the one from last night about Al-Ahli low-balling us for Mahrez ;). I thought 30m for Mahrez was low enough, especially for the Saudis.

Anyone remember Tevez going awol?
That didn’t work out bad when he was given a second chance.
If Cancelo is back, demonstrates commitment, says the right things and more importantly Pep is ok with it, then why not give him another chance?

We really needed Tevez's spark at the time, which certainly helped turn the campaign around, but it was Cancelo being shown the door that turned ours around this past season.

Still don't see a way back for Cancelo. Tevez was a more civil exit at the time and he only lasted one more season (Mancini's final). I don't think Foden will welcome him back with open arms either.

Yeah he was! What team was it? I know it was away from home though

Pretty much the whole EDS squad is booked on the flight - they booked the flights/visas weeks in advance. That doesn't mean they'll all be going. For example, Liam Delap is booked on but he's on loan at Hull now.

Palmer, Trafford, Harwood-Bellis, Doyle, Gomez deffo aren't. Bobb is booked on but hasn't been training properly yet.

Gvardiol has a permit for it too...

Because he's a **** that has single handedly devalued himself due to his actions.
That, and he's a shit defender.

Trouble is, if he derails a season again like he did last time and nobody is around to take him on loan, could cost us a season. I would be surprised if Pep took that risk.

Didn't Pep say he would have even allowed Cancelo to have joined United on loan in January?

That was cold.

Its quite and the team is leaving for pre season tomorrow, no pics or videos of players arriving .

He has dialled down quite a bit. He gets this stick(being a rag fan) constantly from our fans on Twitter.
He did the mistake of jumping too prematurely on few targets like Sanchez or Dani Alves which for some reason the transfer did not happen. Didn’t help his case.
Now he never name checks any player just says we may be interested in a particular position.

To be fair to Sam, Sanchez and Alves were about as done as they could be.

Sanchez told his Chile team-mates he was joining us and Alves told Pep he would join before he jumped on a plane to Messi's wedding and was talked in to Paris move.

When it comes to Sam, it doesn't sound like City have him in the circle of trust anymore and they court Blackburn and Gaughan much more.
