Elon Musk

Not sure that super apps are the best way to go. You can lose all services at once if there is a problem at the provider end.
It’s like a smart phone. Previously we’d have a separate telephone, camera, Walkman later an MP3 player, diary, alarm clock, calendar, posted bank statements etc.

Then a smartphone came along and they were all in one place on different apps on your phone.

Now apps are coming along that put many different types of apps into one app.

Musk has always been a bit of a crypto fanboi. Promises of wild riches to come is fairly standard in the crypto world, normal economics do not apply.

Musk is one of history’s most prolific pump and dumpers, aided by a legion of gullible fans who seem to believe there is no way a billionaire would use them to ‘earn’ more billions.

And in fairness, why not as the fines he gets are millions out of the billions it earns him.

If he’s telling you to invest in something it’s so that you can be the bagholder to his profits.

I attended a convention in Manchester and it was supposed to be about crypto but in reality it was hammered with Snake oil salesmen, from that point on I never bothered.

I think the closest thing we have here might be Revolut. Which I’ve been using for a while now… it’s gone from being a cash app with good ForEx rates to being a one-stop shop for banking, exchange, payments, savings, wealth & investments, purchasing insurance, buying holidays, deals and discounts with retailers. The only thing it doesn’t have is any kind of social functionality and I really don’t see what it would gain from having it.

I don’t see how whatever Musk creates expects to be better than the very well established finance apps that already cover this space.
I wouldn’t touch Revolut, it is not a U.K. licensed bank and customers money is not protected under the FSCS in the main account.

You are correct which is the reason I don’t use it as my main account - I mainly use it for the ForEx. Though their savings accounts are just white label Paragon Bank accounts so those are protected under FSCS.

Broadly I think it’s wise not to trust any one institution with my money, I try to spread it around.

One of the benefits of having no money, I don't have to worry about such issues.

Was shutdown by them citing terrorism risk for money laundering, only moved 24k over a period of 12 months. Made me jump through hoops to get it out. Never again.

Not exactly arguing the point though is he? It's just an emotional outburst from the looks of it.
On twitter too helping make Musk money. If people want to shut him down, don't use twitter pretending to be intelligent or it backfires.

Like ringing up Talkshite after being baited by some runcible opinion and making them money.

Yep, a click is a click.

Uh, he’s not making any money from this endeavo(u)r.

But you got the predictable likers, who haven’t had much to like recently. Good for you.

Likers, likers everywhere
I'm not sure if twitter users realise that if they didn't react and post shite off their Twitter feeds all over the place no one would even see it.

The more people who use it the more income comes in, whether or not losses are made, the losses will be less.

The best thing to do is ignore him if you want him to go away, like Howard Stern, the people who hated him listened as much as his fans.

I reckon he winds people up to get retweets and retweeted replies. Having right moderate right wingers who oppose him being his best disciples playing them like a fiddle. He deserves a lot of criticism but don't use twitter to do it.

Being a bear of little brain I had to Google the dunning Kruger effect:

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias[2] whereby people with low ability, expertise, or experience regarding a type of task or area of knowledge tend to overestimate their ability or knowledge.

A slightly round the houses way of just saying someone is espousing (talking shite) about a subject that they don't know much about. I'm assuming this Olbermann chap thinks his background as a sports / political commentator means his opinions on covid vaccines should carry more weight than musk's? - it seems Dunning Kruger is indeed in full effect.
Another brief Google reveals Olbermann was caught up in musk's Stalinist purge of journalists on twitter, so probably safe to assume he has something of an axe to grind
I suggest anyone worried about covid vaccines / myocarditis ignores them both and asks a medical professional for advice.
