It’s like a smart phone. Previously we’d have a separate telephone, camera, Walkman later an MP3 player, diary, alarm clock, calendar, posted bank statements etc.Not sure that super apps are the best way to go. You can lose all services at once if there is a problem at the provider end.

I wouldn’t touch Revolut, it is not a U.K. licensed bank and customers money is not protected under the FSCS in the main account.I think the closest thing we have here might be Revolut. Which I’ve been using for a while now… it’s gone from being a cash app with good ForEx rates to being a one-stop shop for banking, exchange, payments, savings, wealth & investments, purchasing insurance, buying holidays, deals and discounts with retailers. The only thing it doesn’t have is any kind of social functionality and I really don’t see what it would gain from having it.
I don’t see how whatever Musk creates expects to be better than the very well established finance apps that already cover this space.

One of the benefits of having no money, I don't have to worry about such issues.You are correct which is the reason I don’t use it as my main account - I mainly use it for the ForEx. Though their savings accounts are just white label Paragon Bank accounts so those are protected under FSCS.
Broadly I think it’s wise not to trust any one institution with my money, I try to spread it around.
