Ederson Ortega
Akanji Ake Dias Laporte
Lewis Stones
Rodri Phillips
KDB Bernardo Kovacic
Foden Grealish
Alvarez Haaland

These are our 17 core players. If Cancelo and Walker both stay that's 19.
How many more do we need?
wouldnty count phillips & Laporte based on how much they were used as core players.

One I’d say,a wide player that can play either side, but if Laporte and Cancelo go just then 2.

Verratti is arguably the Saudi’s biggest statement, he’s only 30 and would likely walk into 99% of teams in Europe.

I do wonder how many players will have a year there then come back after 12 months on massive money.

Veratti is a shock move as you would think he still wanted to stick around playing under Luis Enrique. Maybe at 30 (although still young for a footballer) he might not get many more opportunites to earn top money.

What makes you think Grealish is an option for midfield when he’s literally played zero minutes there since he joined?
He's not a traditional winger, he's more a midfield wide-man. On the few occasions I've seen him gravitate toward central areas, to me he looks more dangerous & a better fit. It's just my personal view mate.

I agree. Bernardo should play as often as possible out wide or in the middle but he's not going to threaten goal as much as someone like Mahrez. Sané in the match today showd his pace and threat it'd be great to have that as an option. But could Cancelo possibly be just as good if played as a winger?
No

Wouldn't be surprised if it is an accelerated retirement plan.

If I was able to double my previous 30yrs of earnings in 2 seasons, I think I would be retiring when its done.
