Foden has had a 6 month period where he was utter dog shit. Stones was nearly leaving us for Arsenal a few seasons ago. Players go through bad patches.

I'll get absolutely roasted for this opinion but I actually think Darwin Nunez is a quality player, and he will get better over the next season. I can't see him being another Timo Werner. He misses a fuck tonne of chances, but when those chances start going in he's a 25 goal a season man. Was a bit unfair he was compared to Haaland last season. Haaland is a freak.
Has my suspicions but the Darwin carrol comments has convinced me

Would you refuse to increase your wages x4 because someone in a sweat shop earning enough for a bowl of rice a day considers you very rich? Doubt it.

Or even a less extreme example, wouls people refuse 800k a year instead of 200k a year because someone on minimum wage thinks they're already rich in comparison? Unlikely.

Its all kind of relative isn't it? Footballer already rich would think why not be worth £80m instead of £20m just for doing their job.

And let's be real, although most of us Will never see £20m in our lives, that just makes someome rich, not wealthy per se. The people paying their wages are wealthy. People with more money than Henderson have blown through it no problem. They get used to a lifestyle they've only ever known as an adult.

He would be stupid not to take that money, given the fact he's as good as finished anyway. 99.9% on this forum would.
Maybe some people would point blank refuse to live and work for the Saudi’s and try to struggle on with their millions and millions they already have

Don't mind Henderson, decent footballer and captain, being non scouse is a major plus point. Set for life and generations after with the Saudi money, I'd do the same. Also one less virtue signaler. To all the others, play your sport and keep your trap shut, I'm not interested.

Juande Carrol is shite.

The bit about Foden is nonsense, if they mean this season, but Darwin Nunez is definitely not rubbish.

His stats in the 18 months before he joined Liverpool were almost identical to Alvarez, and their goals/assists and playing time were very close again this season. Given Alvarez was playing in a much better side, and everyone seems to think he's wonderful, it's crazy to suggest Nunez was awful. Alvarez was clearly a bargain in comparison, but Nunez has talent, and has already scored more goals than Andy Carroll did for Liverpool.

Who’s been comparing Darwin Carroll to Julián, apart from you?

Every comparison I’ve seen, up until now, has been with Erling, and there is no comparison.

He will improve but by how much we will have to wait and see.
Henderson it is funny as fuck watching that Irish clown moaning about Henderson as if he is an avid dipper follower.
These you tube cunts should be the last to moan about doing it for the money. They put fuck all into the game.
They seem to think that they are a better run and more successful club than City.
The truth must hurt .

I'm comparing him, because they have almost identical records, but one is described as amazing and the other as a pile of shit.

Not being as good as Haaland doesn't make you shit, and clearly even the most absurd Liverpool fan stopped with the Haaland comparisons last Autumn. (although most seem to have some kind of weird amnesia and will argue that those comparisons never happened!!!).

Alvarez is a young £20m (if that) signing hoping to make an impact in a big league. Juande carrol was £75m, ready made superstar money that

To be fair, they are more successful. Not in the last 10 years, but overall the are.

One was an absolute bargain, and the other overpriced, but they're similar ages (7 months apart), and came from similar level leagues, with very similar scoring records. Alvarez was even South American player of the year.

That only makes a difference if you're prejudging them though - what you cost makes no difference to how good you are, just whether you were good value.

I think Alvarez is brilliant, but if you think he did well last year (which he did), then Nunez's record was pretty similar. I suspect that Nunez's price messed up his confidence once he started finding it a bit trickier, but he's got a talent (even if he's also got the ability to hit row z on a regular basis).
