Schooldays are the happiest days of your life.

F..king hated school. I was bullied remorselessly and wagged as much as I could in the final year. If I ever met up with those cûnts again I would do serious damage to them. I joined up later and I learnt to handle myself. I got all my qualifications whilst in the army and it was no thanks to those barstewards.

Similar story re: school.

I learned to enjoy getting bullied as no one could do worse than the guy that raised me.

By 13, I deliberately went and sought out the bullies by returning to the places I got beatings.

They soon left me alone but they shaped me as much as the guy before them.

No, it was Hell on Earth.

Teachers sexually, physically and emotionally abusing kids. Bullying allowed to run rampant. Staff boozing throughout the day. Low standards of teaching.

But that's Catholic education for ya.

Even worse when you're an undiagnosed autistic who doesn't understand yourself, let alone being understood by others.

Meh, aside from getting pissed in the local park with my older mates, school was shite.

18 to 26 was much more fun than from 10 to 18. Being able to drive and go where you wanted, 18-30s and 20s holidays, actually learning something you wanted to learn at University rather than going through the motions just to get a good grade and earning a bit of money.

To top it all off, for me at least, it was the early 90s, the last great era of freedom before the world started to go down the shitter after 9/11.

I never particularly liked or disliked school. Found it a bit boring but had a good laugh along the way.

But for me the best days of your life were the immediate post school days.

Bit of money in your pocket. Out on the piss every night, without a hint of a hangover next day. Shagging whoever you fancied. ( if they also fancied it, I hasten to add ) But most importantly, no responsibilities and not a care in the world.

Went to an all boys school where bullying was rife. Somehow I got away with it (there were some tough lads) but I hated seeing it and felt sorry for a few lads.
The school was dire, regular canings, standards were very low. I only liked the art and English teachers, the rest were fucking flat strap bullies.
I remember the "Science teacher" used to throw out text books, put somebody in charge then disappear for 40 minutes, probably jacking himself off in the bogs.
Horrible place.
I mostly learnt from my years at college.

The PE Teacher insisting it was rugby union for two terms with no chance of “girlyball” being played was vintage.

I was physically threatened a few times by teachers and that was the 90’s.

Loved primary school, fucking hated high school with a passion. Went to college and loved it and same with Uni. Basically my high school was just full of utter cunts and bullies who made people’s lives a misery. Not friends with a single person I went to high school with and more than happy with that.

Days were structured, you learned new things everyday, play was encouraged, you were with your mates, everything you needed was paid for or provided by others, you could expand your own talents and nurture what academic gifts you possessed.

School life sucked!

Didn't like primary , secondary was OK.

Left in '84 I believe a good few in my year are dead.already I don't chat to anyone from high school and rejected a few friend requests. Dunno why as nothing awful happened. I guess I'd just rather leave the past in the past.

So a bit like prison then, but without the fear of dropping the soap in the shower, unless of course a PE teacher was around.

Had an older brother who was as hard as nails consequently I had a pretty easy run at school, it wasn't that I asked for help but it was on tap.

Loved my school days, although I can see why some people hated them there are some grim tales on here that no child should ever face.

School was great looking back. As were the holidays that came with it. Sad that so many seem to have had negative experiences but my school days were very enjoyable.
