Kaoru Mitoma

If Pep were to be interested in him, it’s because he’d know what he wants from him, and also what he will want from other players in the squad this season, something that some are ignoring. Things aren’t always so obvious or linear

Jack is not better than Mitoma

It's impossible to take your opinion seriously when you joined the forum to slag Jack off......your very first post being......."As for Grealish, shit is an understatement!"

One of our most influential and pivotal payers in our treble winning season, and yet you (and one or two others who remain determined to die on the hill) still cannot afford him the credit he deserves.

Mitoma is a fine player, and a marketing dream......but he would not contribute more than Jack in our set up.

I'd take him just on the basis that he's Japanese, and I love Japanese people.

Travelled to Japan a few years ago, and I was surprised to see how very little scumbags there were over there.
Take a walk through any UK City - Manchester, Glasgow, London, Liverpool or Belfast, and you'll see lads with their hands down their trousers holding onto their one eyed friends, repping the Liam Gallagher walk shouting "what are you looking at mate" as soon as you are in their vicinity.

Never get any of that in Japan. All respectful, sound lads who clean up after themselves. Oh, and Asahi tastes fucking good as well!

Sign him up!

Not really, Jack's strength lies in his decision making. Mitoma is a better dribbler, a better finisher and is quicker.

The problem for me is that the left hand side isn't an issue for us. We need someone on the right.
Jack's finishing is probably the main area of his game he needs to improve on. I think he would admit that himself, but I don’t see any reason why that can't happen.

Same, mate. It's weird because he can very clearly strike the ball well. It's just that he snatches at pretty much every chance he gets.

He should be getting into the double figures and I think it's reasonable to expect that this season.

I didn't say he was a great finisher but Jack is dogshit in front of goal.
What’s worse for me, is that one of Jacks biggest strengths is that ability to cut in from the edge of the area to open up space for a chance of a decent shot, it’s something that comes naturally to him and his style, yet he rarely does it or takes it, Mahrez was brilliant at it, I’m sure if he worked on perfecting that move alone he’d double his goal tally.

It will be interesting to see how Mitoma gets on this season, after an amazing debut season. Opposition will be studying him far more and Mitoma will likely have to adapt at times. This season will tell us a lot about how good this lad is going to be.

It's just about composure, I think. He snatches at chances similar to how Erling does with headers. It's a weakness that shouldn't really be there but it's exciting to think that it might just click soon. A Grealish who bags goals and a Haaland who dominates in the air is a scary thought.
