Kaoru Mitoma

We should be scouting guys like Bellingham, Mitoma and buying them for peanuts rather than paying £100m or so for them once someone else has discovered them?
Had we signed him before Brighton, he would have been called CFG signing. Acceptance rate among fan base towards such signings is almost 0.fans want statement signings with prices

Jorge Valdano: "It was 2002, and for Madrid's centenary celebrations we organised a match of some of the world's leading players against Real Madrid. It occurred to me to call Kaká. He came and played brilliantly in the last 20 minutes. At the end of the match I spoke to Florentino and told him: 'We've got an amazing player here who right now costs 12 million euros and in four years time he'll cost 60'.

Florentino Perez: 'Don't worry Jorge. We'll wait till he costs 60'"

Do you mean players like Alvarez or Perrone, or a raft of signings for the group?

Our scouting is excellent and we only ever hear about the successes from other clubs, never about the myriad of cheaper signings that they have made that then do not make the grade. We bought Bernardo, Gundogan and Torres for the price of Pogba, sold Torres and bought Haaland for +6m. I suspect other clubs look at us with deeply envious eyes when it comes to business like that.

Alternatively, who fucking cares?

We can let the likes of Brighton and Dortmund take a gamble on unproven talent. We have more than enough to snap them up when they get to that next level.

The other side of it is how much game time do you think an unheard of player in his mid twenties would get for us coming straight from the Japanese league and costing about £5m? Absolutely none, is the answer.

I don't get why some of you feel like we need to bargain hunt or why there's an issue with us spending the money we have.

I would disagree with that, obviously you need quality players in the team and they cost quality prices but fans love a random young signing with huge potential like Alvarez, sometimes they are huge successes and often they fail but I think a lot of fans enjoy that type of deal.

Has he had a few good games????
He’s currently in the top 40 scoring players in FPL after 27 match rounds.

I know it sounds odd, but it’s actually a decent way to keep up with which players have been consistently playing well and actually directly contributing to the success of their team.

Given he is playing for Brighton, and most others in the top 40 play for a top six side, that is pretty impressive.

I'd be all over this guy in the summer. He's going to be some player. Infact he already is. Fits our style of play and team like a glove.
