Kaoru Mitoma

If we get an Overlapping fullback we would be less predictable
Predictable is some fans opinion which i respect but do not agree with, we are again the top scorers so for me attack is not the main option. you are bang on an overlapping fullback would give us something we need, they would have to be much more than just a full back though.

Agreed pace is something we need but for me it isn't the priority, we need a left back. I ain't saying this fella is crap but for he isn't better than Jack.

He is comfortably better than Jack at almost everything IMO. Given the same number of minutes in the league, I doubt Palmer would have produced a lower output than Grealish has over the last year and a half.

People overestimating the quality of big fish in tiny ponds never ceases to amaze me.

Jack was a big fish in a tiny pond. He's now an incredibly underwhelming little seahorse in an ocean of sharks. It's only really on this forum that we're expected to pretend he's been amazing.

At least Mitoma knows where the net is and has the guts to aim for it every once in a while.

Give the guy some credit he has done very well this season
He has carried us in a couple of games after an underwhelming first season he is now picked on merit

We should be scouting guys like Bellingham, Mitoma and buying them for peanuts rather than paying £100m or so for them once someone else has discovered them?

I think our scouts were rating Kayky higher than Mitoma

Kayky cost was 10-15m

Mitoma 3m

I personally really rate both Jack and Mitoma. For that reason, I would love to see Mitoma playing for us, but we have a few other priorities, and Brighton might ask for silly money. 100m would be outrageous, and we will have to spend probably close to 200m for two centre mids already, plus Gvardiol and maybe even a Kyle Walker replacement if he was to leave as well. That's a lot of changes, so Mitoma seems unlikely for now. If we have the money, I would rather pay slightly more for Kvara since he is younger and probably with an even higher ceiling.

Haivng said that, in the future we need to look for guys like Mitoma before they are worth big money. We seem to have a good scouting network in South America (Alvarez, Perrone), but I think places like Asia are underrated for talent, and Mitoma is just one example of that.

If people even now don’t appreciate Jacks value and input to the team then football isn’t for you. People need to learn we didn’t buy him to be Villas Jack Grealish we bought him to develop the City version and its working very very well after a slow start.
