Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, rags and Villa all did the same anytime they were winning (so rarely in Chelsea's case). As much as I hate the dippers they didn't tbf.
Running the clock down when you are winning is different from running the clock down in the first minute of the game, when it is 0-0.

Newcastle did that against all of the top 6 last season.

I agree. Newcastle were doing everything they could in order to stop the flow of the game. I had no idea Eddie Howe would stoop to that level, but maybe it was just a one off? New season and all that.
But Arteta has no excuse for his utterly appalling shenanigans. He's been at Arsenal longer that Howe has been at Newcastle, and he was tutored by Pep, so why the constant negativity?
In all the years I've been watching football I have never seen so much blatant time-wasting going on by a professional club. You could see it was a deliberate tactic from him.

An ex-bandmate of mine is a season ticket holder, and he said he was ashamed of their behaviour ("taking it to a new dimension" were his precise words regarding Arsenal's ludicrous time-wasting).

You like to think that sporting officials in this country would clamp down on this sort of behaviour, but then you remember this is the Premier league and pgmol we're talking about.

Arsenal and the rags did it to us at 0-0 as well.

Yep. They can't be kicking up a stink when they do it themselves.

Only two teams in the league go out not to time waste from the start in my opinion. That's us and the dippers. Even when we play eachother both sides want the ball in play and get down to business.

When the other top 4 clubs play against eachother as in Rags, Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea ect It's shit and boring as fuck.

If you look at the stats for time in play, it has got worse throughout the league. Fans are being cheated and action is needed.

Think you’re going to be getting a bit of surprise….

They’re actively discussing with sponsors whether they’re ok with him coming back and have turned down offers to take him on loan - the club and management want him back desperately, even to the level of ignoring the concerns of their women’s team.

So the greatest team in the world revealing that they have absolutely no moral compass.

Not really a surprise considering their history.

It's hilarious. When we bought Haaland, he'd just scored 86 goals in 89 games playing in one of the best leagues in Europe. They've bought someone who's scored 10 goals in a top league and he's being compared purely because it's the rags.

and because his name could be pronounced similar to Haaland [emoji23]

I don't understand why the rags spend so much money on below-average signings. Their football is not exactly pretty, nor is it tactically difficult, because it's basic pub-style hoofball. They should accept that their days in the sun ended many years ago and just live with the fact that it's all cyclical: after us it'll be someone else, Arsenal, Newcastle, Chelsea, whoever. Nobody stays at the top of the tree for ever. Just think, millions of years ago Preston North End were footballing giants, so too were Blackpool. Unfashionable names nowadays, but in their day they were the big boys. They might be again some day, nobody knows.
But due to the media in this country blowing smoke up their arses the rags seem to think they are still a big attraction. They're not. They are buying mid-table fodder that no other club is or was interested in signing, and they are paying obscene amounts for the privilege, too.

I don't believe for one second that the Glazers had any intention to sell: their asking price is taking the piss. They knew no one would entertain that sort of money, so once again it's the smoke and mirrors routine from them. But still everything they do is lauded as some incredible achievement by our media. Every single utterance from Ten Bob is greeted with such sycophancy you'd think the man was God: Simon Stone and the rest of them are his disciples, and it is the media's responsibility to spread the word of the Lord.

The prophets and the soothsayers will all proclaim that his next miracle will be to raise Lazarus from the dead - but to the rest of us he's just signed fucking Jonny Evans.

They seem confident of unloading Maguire and McTominay on Moyes's West Ham for 100m combined.
Fair fucks to them if they pull that piece of Grand Larceny off.
The only team stupid enough to pay that sum for that pair is themselves.

Moyes is a dinosaur ain't he

Sounds like their owner and sporting director won't allow it, and they are well I ntheir right to

They should go for more than £30mil and even that's a stretch
