I don’t usually make posts like this, but some of the posts on this thread since today and yesterday have been of an unusual degree of excremental purity. Even for BM.
For what it's worth (probably very little)...
Excrement = BM so it makes sense.I don’t usually make posts like this, but some of the posts on this thread since today and yesterday have been of an unusual degree of excremental purity. Even for BM.
I don't think Bielsa's input was the sole reason, but it certainly may have been a factor. It's no secret that we were looking for someone to take the heat off Rodri in something more like a Fernandinho mould. Pep did talk to Bielsa, and Bielsa did speak very highly of Phillips. No doubt Phillips was on a shortlist of many, but availability and affordability will of course have been key components. I just think Bielsa's input perhaps put Phillips higher up the shortlist than he otherwise would have been:I think you might be exaggerating his influence. Had Guardiola taken to sitting on a bucket touchline, then perhaps, but I’d like to think that our transfer dealings are a little more collective and sophisticated.
Even after 40+ years I still regard him as shit. However for me, if he can get this transfer over the line then he may go from a shit player to a meh.So the Jury is still out for you then Oakie?
Fucking hell, the bid has gone down already! lol
You`re certainly living up to your name !!I’ve no idea. But then I’m a supporter and not on Txiki’s wage to have somebody lined up.
What I do know is that ifwe are relying on Barry Silkman calling us to give us ideas them something has gone seriously tits up.
Mahrez and Gundo scored 60 goals in the last 2 seasons. Seems negligent not to addressing that.
But letting wee Davie loose with money? It's a mixed bag, as a lot of their fans want the money to rebuild West Ham's midfield. They seem happy to sacrifice him for the right money.
HE DID NOT WANT TO STAY
i mean we already went in with 70, so i think 60 would take the piss now. but i like your thinking. They wont accept 60 not a chance. He has 85 mil release clause next year maybe theyd accept that now

Anyone who's watched an episode of Wheeler Dealers all the way through knows what this is about.
65m + bonuses?
Hold out your hand...
Perhaps. I still think there is a potential player in there, but he has done little to suggest that he can take the heat off Rodri, certainly not when asked to play that role. Maybe he’d be more comfortable in a midfield that includes Kovacic and Paqueta, should he come.I don't think Bielsa's input was the sole reason, but it certainly may have been a factor. Manchester City summer signing Kalvin Phillips made his name under Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds United.www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk
Is that a good thing or a bad thing?I don’t usually make posts like this, but some of the posts on this thread since today and yesterday have been of an unusual degree of excremental purity. Even for BM.

I'd agree with all of that. I just don't see us building a team around his inadequacies though, so I expect him to be sold this summer. You can change the way you play to accommodate the arrival of Haaland, but not Phillips. I'm not sure different personnel in the same system will help, but maybe he needs more time. I just don't know where and when he will get the opportunities.Perhaps. Don't believe what you read, especially from SkyThey wont accept 60 not a chance. He has 85 mil release clause next year maybe theyd accept that now
Not a prayer they’d accept £60mil when they paid £50mil this time last season, minimum £70mil.They wont accept 60 not a chance. He has 85 mil release clause next year maybe theyd accept that now
