Szoboszlai is a weird one. Can also play on the right, has CL experience, knows Gvardiol, apparently best mates with Haaland. Could have taken both and given them a loan player to sweeten the deal. Rice & Szoboszlai have pushed up the price of Gvardiol and Paqueta.

He’s a Liverpool fan - he’s got a Steven Gerrard quote tattooed across his arm.

As soon as Liverpool showed an interest, there was only one place he was going.

And knowing how we operate, I’m sure we’ll have established that fact pretty fast.

Whilst all logic would have pointed to him coming to City, sometimes emotion trumps logic.

It happens - you need to let it go, brother!

He's a Steven Gerrard fan and we had opportunity to show interest prior to Liverpool or even at the same time. In his interviews for Liverpool, he didn't exactly state any single mindedness to join Liverpool because he was a fan etc, just that he saw the rumours and that Liverpool were the only team that made a concrete move. We didn't really show any proper interest which is the curious thing.

I did. That's why his name shall never be mentioned again. He lied to me. Made me fall in love with the skills then last minute pulls out a looserpool love history... Yuk!!!

But you're right, since posting I've stopped worrying so much.

It is nothing but an unsubstantiated rumour at the moment.
