Lucas Paqueta investigated by FA for alleged betting breaches

That's a big point imo because if we get someone in for the right wing that's the end of Cole. That's the only bit of this I'm not so keen on.
If Palmer leaves it will be on loan, I can't see us sacrificing him for Paqueta, we have the cash to do that deal alone.

I think it is looking more like a case of, if Cole goes, we would get someone in.

At least going by Pep's recent comments. It sounded like Cole is the one pusing for a move that would give him regular minutes. Which when Mahrez was here was probably right. Now he is gone, there is more there to fight for.

But if he is unsure about staying, and he can be used in a deal for an incoming player, themln all parties will push that. At which point we'd imo look to bring someone else in. And sell someone to make the space in the squad.

Tolmie gets solid information via his press/agent connections but I for one believe our club also uses said connections to create distracting noise.

If we are in for Caicedo we are not going to broadcast it, with Chelsea in the hunt, thats creates a crazy auction and the price would be stupid.

We have history with that and Cucurela, our club is in good hands, I have a sneaky we have been looking at the wrong Brighton player as fans believing the Mitimoa rumours..
You could be right, of course, but I go by the bits of information that we have. Also, given our Paqueta interest (confirmed), I highly doubt we would be adding Caicedo as well since Kalvin doesn't seem to be going anywhere. I get your point, though. It could be a smokescreen. I just believe it to be unlikely.

Finally, I don't think two opinions are equal as far as transfers are concerned. I would trust Tolmie more than anyone else here, as I believe he is way more informed than the rest of us. That's not to say Mitoma will 100% join, as not even Txiki and Soriano can know that. Nobody does.

Exactly my point. So he can't have it both ways with dismissing a personal opinion out of hand, & in the next post applying absolute authority to a personal opinion. \0/

What is it? Are personal opinions just that, or empirical fact?

I do get it, btw. It is quite common though.

Got proof? ;)

Tolmie's opinion is more likely to be closer to the empirical fact since he is more informed than the rest of us here (on transfers). Therefore, we have opinions, but his is more of an educated guess (on transfers). Can we agree on that? Nothing is a "fact" because this isn't an academic study where one needs to provide empirical evidence etc. Everything is possible in that sense, but I am yet to see anything indicating we are in for Caicedo. There is a (small) chance we are in for Caicedo, though. I give you that. I just think it's less than 1%. I don't have any references/bibliography to back any of this up ;).

Why do people have to be such aggressive wankstains on twitter?

Same sad act behaviour I see on here all the time. Someone tries to share info or a rumour they've heard and then some eternal beer garden dweller with a shit skin fade and a head like a button mushroom starts screeching demands for sources or insisting that everyone is as out of the loop as they are.

I really don't get it.

So Palmer potentially involved in both Paqueta and Mitoma discussions. More straight forward bits of business then [emoji1]

I wonder how highly Pep rates Mcatee? Say if the club said to Pep we can do Mitoma as you want but we have to sell Mcatee as part of the deal?
