We also pissed an awful lot of money away under Mancini and Pellers, on signings such as Jovetic, Rodwell and Bony to name just three, but there is a long list
I can't think of any under Pep, although the jury is still out on Phillips
We might have wasted money on some players.
But we still won things under both managers.
They have spanked more and won fuck all

BBC have Sir Marcus down on the shortlist for the top PL scorer, Harry Kane (also on the list) has more chance and he's going to Bayern next week.

I remember talking football with a rag when Pelegrini was in charge, and the the rag posed the question, "do you think you've under achieved with the squad you have? "
Really had to say "yes" to that

How shocking would it be to be a United fan who just woke up from a coma? You'd be looking for the Maguire and Phil Jones statues and wondering how they didn't lead England to a couple WCs to go with their three trebles.
I'd tell him that Pogba won the Ballon D'or and they've won 3 consecutive CL finals, cos I can be a right **** sometimes ;)

Awaits the 'sometimes' wise arse crack.

Well yeah, but Southgate is forced to work with what he has, whereas the rags actively choose to buy players that don't fit the system they claim to want to play.

My prediction for this season is that they'll have a few teething problems trying to play out from the back (like we did when we brought Bravo in), and quickly revert to type as a direct counter-attacking long ball team. They basically dream of playing like us but they don't have the players to do it. Rashford, for example, is great when he has a lot of space to run into, but put him against a team defending their own box and he becomes very average. And that's what happens when you play the sort of possession-based football that we do.
Southgate isn't forced to play turgid boring football. That's his choice.

So that is Fred gone for £13m.
Maguire gone for £30m.

Total spend £130m
Total recouped £43m
Total loss: £87m

Lol

Get the dodgy financials out and add a 1 to the sales. Biggest club in the world?? Hahahahah

Biggest set of tosers maybe -:)

Kind of makes you feel nostalgic when you see the likes of Phil Jones, De Gea, Maguire and Fred all going in one summer.

McTominay must be shitting himself.
