Lucas Paqueta investigated by FA for alleged betting breaches

Phillips really costing us here. him included this could be a good deal financially. also it would stop Moyes spend shit load on the dross from United.

they want a big price for Paqueta so they can pay big for Maguire, McTominay. that doesnt sit well with me.
compared to Phillips +25m, that would stop them going for McTominay at least.

Phillips+25-30m + Palmer on loan is not a bad package.

then we still can put 115m on caicedo. :)

I think Kane was left hanging simply because the information his agent /brother told us was simply not reliable or true. We had no option but to walk away. We were told if we bid £100m Kane could secure a move. We were then told it was £150m which was wholly at odds with what the agent told us.

Tolmie tweeted in response to some guy that we would be willing to go as high as 85m quid + Palmer on loan. Sounds about right. I reckon this will get done by Wednesday next week.
 
The premier league market is absolutely cooked at the moment. It’s bad enough buying players in general as a PL club but transfers between PL clubs? Why not look a bit outside maybe Europe like we did for Alvarez? There are good players available like Florentino Luiz and Frederick redondo for example who would be available for a fraction of the price.

Buying from another PL club is the worst VFM you can get. If City are happy with that then fair enough but you would think for that money there would be plenty of players better outside the PL.

On a second point Brighton’s hit rate is phenomenal….we need that algorithm and cut out the middle man!

Isn't that the problem that there is a bereft of world class players. 10 to 15 years ago you could ask football fans to pick a world 11 & there would be about 5 or 6 players who were nailed on & then the rest would depend on which team you supported or hated.

What's the co-relation between two defensive midfielders and Paqueta?

Moot point but I think we only ever bid £75M.
 
As well as the phenomenal ball retention skills, Paqueta, like Kovacic, is highly industrious and has the energy to go hard in both directions for the full game. The harsh reality is that Gundogan and de Bruyne often looked puggled last season, particularly late in games, so their addition should see the work rate in the boiler room go even higher, something which will prove invaluable against teams such as Arsenal and Liverpool who have similarly reenergised their midfields
 
is there any similar player (proper left sided attacking 8) available in other leagues?

We were looking for a DM or proper “all-rounder” CM’s in rice and Bellingham no? So those two players fit the bill and continue the trend of the players we’re looking for. Plus Rodri is the only DM we have with Phillips seemingly not trusted.
