Excellent post. I don't think you are in the minority, despite what it might seem. Crazies on the right and left tend to be "louder." Nevertheless, I reckon the majority possesses somewhat moderate views close to the middle and don't identify with the idiots on both sides of the aisle who consistently make fun of each other. We are all doing our best to "not be a ****," just like you said.

This weirdness in America worries me as my wife wants us to move there one day. She used to live in the really affluent part of Connecticut and never saw any issues, guns, drugs, religious freaks or anything.

My question to any of those who live there is, can America still be a safe and fun place to live if you‘re wealthy enough? Or is it becoming so shit there’s a fairly high risk I could get shot just going to a nice restaurant, or shopping or National park?

Yes they weren't the ones who did it but they surely benefited from it, the least you'll expect from these wolves in sheep clothing is a little remorse but as they've shown over and over again, that is beyond them.
