Burnley (A) | Post Match Thread

Listen to the audio, it wasn't a clash at all. Haaland was annoyed at Bernie for not putting him in, Pep was telling him to stop sulking it was half time and they were two up and Bernie was just making sure they went in with the lead. Nowt in it, I imagine Pep looks animated when ordering a Chinese.
Yeah I didn’t say a clash - I said an animated discussion - as for ordering a Chinese - big John on Tik Tok takes some beating when you talk about passion

Decent enough performance especially considering Burnley are a few weeks ahead. Thought Trafford grew into the game and couldn't really fault him for any of the goals. Looks decent enough with his feet although Burnley were overplaying it a bit at the back at times.

At times in the first half we were a bit sloppy and without Stones in there the passing from the defenders was very safe. Lewis in the first half was finding good little pockets but not getting the ball anything like fast enough. Walker and Akanji were not great and caused themselves some problems.

Alvarez and Foden played much better when Haaland went off and it seemed pretty clear they are still working on how we will play particularly after KdB went off. Still a work in progress.

Probably guilty of wanting to over praise someone but Josko looked at home. Much tougher tests for him to come obviously but he looks like he fits

As if Vinny has just had to try and talk about/defend Burnley fans booing the taking of the knee and it’s a slight positive as it’s less fans booing than it used to be. What a shitty little club of inbreds Burnley really are.

Poor Vinny.

So proud of Vinny. Bring our boy home in due course. There is clearly an element of racists in Burnley that booed the taking of the knee. Vinny answered his questions perfectly but he knows he’s coming home eventually, where skin colour, religion, sexuality etc matter not.
Regardless, he’s a blue, we love him, he loves us and he knows where his true home is. Once a blue, always a blue.

Comfortable in the end at what could have been a tricky fixture, mainly down to Haaland's clinical finishing.
Still understandably a bit rusty but lots of great signs we'll be there or thereabouts again.
The Burnley crowd still have a lot of utter neanderthals.
