This is fucking diabolical on sky sports from carragher - highlighting how terrible treble winners manchester city are frustrating 52 goal Haaland.

This narrative is insane.

Will they spend time on Salah sulking and Klopp ignoring him?
If only we had Spitty instead of Pep, thank god scousers have Klippity instead of Spitty.

Spitty whose expertise consist of exactly zero premier league titles. And managing who exactly?

You know nothing Spitty C.

Tbf she did put the whole that Man City wasn't the right club for him to bed ............And put Spitty in his place so she's not all bad
Ah ok mate, understood.
Tbf, I’m not actually watching it, just picking up on what others have put on here this evening and adding it to previous times I’ve seen her analysing matches.

She did - thank god - full disclosure, i may have shouted "fucking pass it" in the past when haaland makes a run, i'm sure we all have - but you can't say "we need to do it more". We won the fucking lot and he scored a shit load. And why when you say something fucking stupid like "he went to the wrong club" do you keep repeating it. You sound like a dumb fucking scouser spitty.

Ten hag tenure, being described as a "Brilliant Start" at Man utd. Someone queue up the 6-3, 7-0, seville collapse and fucking hammering in the FA Cup final and mention they finished 14 pts off the top.

With Chelsea showing complete and utter disregard for FFP it’s interesting how media tackle this.

Interestingly, same treatment does not appear and I feel the antagonistic coverage from Delaney stems beyond that.

I am finally seeing what this is all about with him and clearly it’s not about the money spent.

I'm surprised it's taken you so long.

Other clubs can spend money and break transfer records but no-one says a word, and in some cases they're applauded, but if it was us.....

He and his whatsapp cronies can try and disguise their reporting of us with mock outrage about the money and human rights etc, but the stories all have that subtle, underlying racist theme that really does boil down to, white money good, brown money bad!

I heard spitty say that and I was astounded. He obviously knows better than Pep.

It was put to bed by Pep on the night, yet still they try making something out of nothing. Pep was absolutely right to keep the ball. I love the new Pep he's realised that once we are a couple of goals up we have the talent to keep the ball and close the game out. No need to take risks looking for more goals. This approach won us the treble.

I'm laughing watching the new narrative being pushed on sky sports now regarding Chelsea spending all this money. Huge transfers are good value now when you break the fee down over the years of the contract. I've never heard that mentioned regarding our signings though.
No they usually add wages and agents fees to the transfer cost

Most City fans I know have always said that if we get a proper defence we will beat everyone. We have now got the best defence in the world and the best striker. We are unplayable.

We have said it for years, I'm surprised it took a genius like Pep so long for the penny to drop. I think he got so spoilt with the attacking strength with Messi and co at Barcelona he couldn't veer from it. While we were obviously still winning trophies playing this way, we knew if he just tweaked it to be a bit more pragmatic we'd be even more effective. Now we have and are.

The midfield is the potential issue now.

KDB older and with injuries.

Gundogan has moved on.

Phillips isn’t proven cover for Rodri.

The right hand of the attack isn’t so hot either especially if Bernardo has to come inside due to the first two points.

Hopefully we really nail the signings in these areas to keep things at the same high level.

Tbh, we’re fortunate we have a god like Pep in charge since he makes the best of any situation where other managers wouldn’t.

I don’t think it’s as easy as ‘pep listened to the fans and when he did it worked’. When Pep changed the formation it took time and effort to get it working. Most people on here seemed to hate it and some even wanted him to leave (I have the receipts).

In reality, Pep wasn’t given a full hand in terms of full backs and made a miracle out of the situation. The new formation and style was based around the players he had at his disposal. Any other manager would have struggled and not achieved anywhere like the same level of success especially with pressure to revert back to the previous formation.

I wasn't talking about the early days but once he had his preferred players in place to play the system he wanted which was Walker etcetera. We played some great football but there were times many said we'd be even more effective if he was more pragmatic in certain games. This was especially true in the champions league, the Monaco game was a perfect example. I doubt he listens to the fans but I'm pleased for whatever reason he's tweaked the system.

The reality is different. It was a personal issue above all, especially against Monaco.

This was the defensive line from the 2nd leg:

You’d do well to win the Europa with that back line at the time, never mind the CL.

Bloody hell yes I get that, memory is failing, no wonder we shipped so many goals looking at that defence.

To be honest mate when I went looking I didn’t think it would be as bad as that! I’ve surprised myself with that one haha. That is genuinely shocking!
