United's Corrupt Points Tally.. +4

I can't remember but has there ever been a huge VAR controversy that has gone AGAINST them?

Just seems the decisions are always in their favour.

I suspect the answer must be no.

Sky , BBC and every other of their arselicking whores would have demanded a public enquiry and screamed about it from the rooftops with a constant yellow ticker tape across the screen.

wasnt there an offside not given against chelsea some years ago, cost them the title ????

I was thinking in the late 90"s

Wouldn’t have been anything to do with VAR then.

I’ve got a vague recollection of them crying about some non foul in a Liverpool game at Old Trafford a few years ago. But I’ve no idea now if it was harsh or they just couldn’t believe they didn’t get one.

Good idea for a thread. There will be ones where it’s a proper goal or disallowed goal that hit the net that goes in their favour so will be interesting to see where it is at the end of the season.

But this is only a ‘sort of’ +2 points for this first one.

Like I kept telling Liverpool fans the other year (Rodri incident at Everton), there’s no guarantee that he’d have scored the penalty as on average 15% are not scored.

Plus - like I also said about the Rodri one at Everton - from the kick off United might have gone and scored a winner themselves because the game would have taken a different turn if they’d started with the ball on the centre spot with a different mindset after conceding a goal from a penalty, instead of down in their own box after a penalty wasn’t given.
Alternatively you can point out that RIcharlison was offside so was never a penalty
Or that Milner stayed on the field in our match at Anfield after 3 yellow card offences
Or Sterling declared offside when they came to the Etihad when he was clearly level
Or 10 flops where Salah was awarded a penalty (Newcastle on Boxing Day was Olympic medal worthy)

If it is retrospective Leicester lost out on Europe due to utd`s ref decisions, of course they did not help themselves but it was utd`s results that made the difference.

Or you could look at the replays from behind the goal that show the ball did not hit his arm,
Or you could get a computerized 3D replay that shows the ball did not hit his arm,
Liverpool fans are just desperate, under the laws of the game the ref could not give it even if it had happened as the laws do not permit guessing. :)

"united might have gone up the other end and been given a soft as fuck penalty to retake the lead".
...and if they run out of time, the ref could always pop into the dressing room to call them back after the final whistle has gone to take a penalty that he has subsequently and very generously decided to award them.

Still can't believe that one - as well as the collective shrug of the shoulders and resignation to the inevitable because it was the rags. I remember being surprised in the 90s that cantonas king fu kick had any consequences beyond a red card
