I get you dickie, very much the same type, only ones a giddy little kipper and the other one’s a serious (and shit) “Businessman”.Cough, Simon Jordan, cough
Detector vans were fake to scare people, I'm not sure anyone believed them, but pretend they were real, do you think they could tell the difference between a few feet? The COVID app couldn't in 2020 never mind 1980.Not sure what you mean by "detector teams" if you mean detector vans, of course not as most don't receive a signal via an aerial anymore.
They have outsourced licence fee avoidance to Capita who do carry out enforcement on a regular basis.

Probably just back from claiming that it's a good job Liverpool were there to share our title wins over the last few years. The title race over by March, where’s he been?

LOL, in a world where we receive TV via cable, satellite, wi-fi and cellular I'm sure that leaves them stumped!I've had them turn up to the house twice and both times I preceded to show them the cut aerial cable on the side of the house. but you don't have to let them into your house. just say I don't have it and slam the door in their faces. I'm not paying them a penny and haven't done so for 12 years
If you've ever seen the advert they used to put out, they even say what programme your watching, in this case they were watching " Columbo", hilarious.Detector vans were fake to scare people, I'm not sure anyone believed them, but pretend they were real, do you think they could tell the difference between a few feet? The main method of detection was always looking through the window, then they had a database of everyone who had bought a telly and used that as well. It was then assumed that everyone has a telly.

I prefers the Petrodollars Derby.Come on that's an easy one even iv been calling it the oil derby in a tongue in cheek kind of way
They weren't fake. They picked up on the Local Oscillator that the TV set itself generates to demodulate the signal. The LO frequency is different for each channel, so they could detect what channel you were watching. It wasn't that amazing technology really, just needed a directional low noise receiver. They only worked for the analogue TV signals so wouldn't work with modern set top boxes.Detector vans were fake to scare people, I'm not sure anyone believed them, but pretend they were real, do you think they could tell the difference between a few feet? and we did the planeThe sky sports news reporter at the city presser just said the team got back at ten to five yesterday morning from Athens.
They didn't at all. They got back at ten to five yesterday evening. And I should know as I'm a plane geek.
Now im not saying the detector vans were real, but back in the days of the old tube based TVs, with the right bit of kit it was fairly easy to tell if someone had a tv and even see what they were watching. Not a chance with modern TVs though.Detector vans were fake to scare people, I'm not sure anyone believed them, but pretend they were real, do you think they could tell the difference between a few feet?
