I don't think our window is that bad...

1) Retaining Walker & Bernardo was the most important thing
2) We swapped Laporte for a more young and talented player
3) We lost 33 years old Gundo and got 29 years old Kovacic, i.e player who has his best years ahead..

As for the Mahrez situation. Foden / Alvarez need more minutes and game time, so I don't think direct replacement is needed there..

Plus we have a lot of young players. Rico, Gomes, Perrone, Bobb, Palmer, Mcatee...

The only issue right now is KDB injury, but every time someone gets injured, you shouldn't buy a new player. Cause, what happens to that player when KDB returns..

And Phillips situation...

A lot of depends on a CL group stage, cause if it's a little bit easy, I guess Pep will decide to stick to the current options, assess all the youngsters, wait for KDB recovery and maybe, in January, with all the information and assessments from the first half of the season - we will have a more clear picture and enter the market, with concrete requirements..

Rodri needs rest , he even said it himself. Kovacic can play as a 6 so we can give Rodri rest but then you need another midfielder to take Kovacic’s role. This is all about giving Rodri a rest Pep looks to not trust Kalvin at all.

Right now Rodri is going to have to do what he did last year and play nearly every game.

Another midfielder means we can rest Rodri and play Kovacic in his position. While that new midfielder and Foden play in front.

Just gives us more options. But most importantly gives Rodri a rest.

If not then Rodri is going to play nearly all the games again as well as internationals with Spain. And we are going to have to hope he doesn’t get an injury
 
Need to replace Kalvin Phillips. Only plays in dead rubbers or if we’re up by 3. Has never been more obvious that Pep doesn’t rate him.
Federico Redondo would be the perfect replacement. Stylistically very similar to Rodri and would be quite cheap
 
Olmo possibly not happening, which seemed likely considering he signed a new contract, makes me wonder what the next step is? Eye up another CM or solely look to strengthen the wings with Foden & Bernardo focusing on CM

like to see an attacking midfielder who can play right across the front,and maybe a central midfielder,but if we don't ,we could rest rodri by putting stones there,kova , even bernie, we will have to mix and match,but i think we have the players to do it, kalvin needs to force his way in, he does that and things look a bit less stretched , especially for rodri.

thinking about it, if we don't get anyone else i would fuck the fa cup and league cup off imo the only option
