Just me who sees
- Arguably the best 2nd keeper in the league
- An England International CM, former Leeds captain
- Top Prem CB, one of our best players last year
- A young guy who was arguably player of the tournament for the U21 Euros recently
- Top rated prospect, a star of the Argentine U20 squad
- One of the players of the season for the Prem 2 last year, someone who's been tearing it up at all youth levels
- A winger who's made the jump up to Prem level and is already delivering for the first team
- A defender who's made the jump up to Prem level and is already delivering for the first team
- An attacker who excelled in the championship and was a key player in Sheffield Untied ascend back into the Prem

And that'd without Bernardo & Stones (and KDB) two world class players who go straight into our best XI

We are a body (or 2) short for a AM/CM but we have some amazing young players who, given how Palmer and Lewis have taken their chances, are chomping at the bit to impress and stake claim....also we have the best academy in world football...maybe we should start using it

People who are having a go at our bench yesterday are the same people who have a go that youth never gets a chance. Pep only makes afew subs if any a game palmer and mcatee are premier league and would start for alot of teams in this league same goes for Phillips despite people on here considering him a joke. Munich want ortega rumour is tuchel want him as number 1 that's how good he is. Gomez is a decent squad player was great at the under 21 world cup, perrone and Bobb are both top prospects and Ake was one of our best players last year (when we won the triple BTW) . Our squad was fantastic considering our injuries I'm actually thinking we would be better sticking with what we have and letting Phil flourish in the creative cm role he was cracking yesterday.

I can't wait to get through the week of the window with no new signings or links. For a more exciting last week.

why wouldn't we count 2 defenders in our list of defenders, that would be like saying, we are short of center forwards if you don't count haaland and alvarez
 
I wonder if it could be an opportunity for Pep to change our system to wingbacks, he said that teams have susssed us out and go man for man, maybe bringing in wingbacks to get crosses in to Haaland and freeing up Jack and Phil as well. We can still have lots of ball retention with the players but those overlaps and balls in behind could give us an extra dimension. I did think the bench looked light of proper attacking abilities yesterday with only Stones and Bernie absent I think we need a couple of more.
 
Wonder if there is a Kovacic type player out there, even if they aren't as good as Kovacic, for the attacking mid position to get us goals

You know a top player in his late 20's, early 30's, who can do a job on the short term to bridge the gap for our younger guys / Wirtz etc. To become available

Doku can come in for the wing position

I don't have too much knowledge across Europe, but someone like Paulinho at Sporting, Rafa at Benfica or Correa at Atletico, guys who wouldn't cost the world and are good goalscorers, goalscorers we miss without Gundogan
