In fairness, it was meant to be a response to the post with the list showing 2 spaces that currently just aren't there.

My point still stands though. Paqueta was supposedly on the verge of signing, Doku is expected, but neither are here. Laporte and Cancelo are, however.
 
With Laporte leaving , that’s a squad space free , we might hear something about an incoming soon just taking a guess.

In fairness pal, the whole point of the transfer forum and this thread in particular is to discuss possibilities and rumours etc, so making the assumption none of the 3 we were mentioning won’t be in the 17 is a fair one.

I don’t care what we spend as long as it represents value. If it doesn’t, then our operating model will collapse and we will shit the bed. Look at Leeds (hyperbolic example I know).
We are a well run club because we take care to not throw money at a bump in the road and find a way to hang in there and succeed when the cards don’t flop our way. We plan everything: we can’t control the adverse occurrences along the journey (injuries/ some dick who thinks he can scam the bookies) but we will not panic because panic is the enemy the planner.

I’m still comfortable that the very clever guys working for us are doing OK. 1 trophy so far this season, bring on the rest of the campaign..

Of course it is.

But when you put up a list claiming that is our squad as is, then some muppet hastily looks at the bottom number, removes Cancelo and Laporte again, and claims we only have 13 players. Or 11, if you exclude Gomez who is crap and Phillips who Pep doesn't trust.
 
Heard a rumour, that Kvaratskhelia's agent is working on a release clause for his new contract, but Napoli don't want that..

Can it be Txiki's strategy somehow ?

Perrone confirmed as going so there is another off the list.
