I personally think this was always tied to Palmer wanting to leave. Just my current opinion on it.

Surely we can still make a bid for a player?

Personally I'd just keep Palmer anyway. Our squad is very very small as it is and Palmer can play on both sides too.

I totally agree. Just the way I read what Pep's been saying, and put the two together.

It feels like Doku is a back-up should Palmer leave, rather than a target to 'replace Mahrez'. Which Pep had already hinted at (not by name) was Paqueta, or a more central player.

Was informed were in discussions with doku and that we weren't in for olise, I have nothing more than this. No reason to not believe we're still in discussions with Doku
