Not convinced we are sold on him. I think West Ham get him, they’re in a position where they can be much more decisive than us as we don’t seem all that arsed either way.

Disagree. He has something we don't. He's ripe for development. The position was identified for reinforcement. And we just desperately need bodies.

The question seems to be... how far do you go for him? Now Paqueta is off, doesn't that look more important? Be pretty stupid to end up blowing 60m on him and then leave ourselves in a tight one if a good midfielder suddenly appears on the market and a bidding war emerges. Pretty sure we know very well he is not Wham's priority, he's set on us - so there's an argument to leave it, so it was abundantly clear there wasn't a bid coming from anywhere else.
