I wonder if Wolves or Palace would want Phillips as part of a deal. Might make it affordable to get both (Nunez = Rodri sub, Eze = KDB sub)

With Bernie onboard we don’t need to panic into a signing imo. If wolves and palace don’t want to sell then fair play to them. City will have a fee in mind as will both the clubs we want to buy from. Somewhere in the middle a deal could be made.

The rest is the media trying to actively encourage clubs not to sell to city. They need the moneybags tag to continue.

City executives know the score. Any player we target due to our success would run to Manchester. Especially the players we target are not necessarily seen as world class. It’s a huge opportunity for someone to play at the top with a top team. Many won’t get the call.

I want both we need that squad to be larger! Just because of that mountain Pep said we climbed last season, I don't want it to happen but we were lucky with injures last season and I feel we could lose a couple this season we have already lost Kdb and I really worry about Rodri it's not like him to be blowing after 75min in games plus we have this extra extra time in games..

Thats the long & short of it. The middle part is a negotiation. I am going for Nunes myself. I think Palace will believe the hype like West Ham and try for an unrealistic fee. We ain’t the basket case formally known as Chelsea.

Wolves have their own problems and isn’t Bernardo’s agent the one who gets the Portuguese players in at wolves anyway. Probably sounded out Nunes when sorting Bernie’s contract.

I know but if they sell him a story. For example hr might think that Roy Hodgson could get him back to his best. Or he might like orange.
 
If philips is honest with himself he has lost his way. The cup game at Southampton did him absolutely no favours as he had a stinker and just looked completely disinterested.

If we're in for Nunes and Eze then that tells you everything. He'll go out on loan as it's the Euros next year and he needs to play.

Really excited about these two possible incomings.

Tolmie tweet a couple mins ago says regarding the Nunes signing: "But is it the end..." so I would say this is false. Definitely could realistically sign both.

Agree we need Eze as well. We have "lost" a lot of goals in Gundogan, Mahrez + KDB out half the season. Kovacic wont score much, Doku is an exiting talent but only scored 6 Ligue 1 goals last season so not sure we can expect 10-15 goals from him, Nunes scored 1 goal in PL. Sure, a few could step up and improve their goal scoring numbers a bit, but a CM capable of scoring 10 goals or so would be very useful. In my opinion :)

Kovacic and stone can hold the double pivot role whilst Rodri rest, Gvardiol can also slot in there too. I thought we had a creativity issue too, are we going to address that, or its Phil's role moving forward? I rate Nunez highly by the way, I was suprised and disappointed we went for Philips instead of Nunez last season, given how linked we were with him.
