I wonder where Tolmie gets his information from and how good it is ?
We've brought in about 128mil on Mahrez, Laporte, Trafford, Borges, and Charles and the Lavia and Porro sell ons. THB and Doyle should net us another 25mil. If we got Eze and Nunez at a combined 130mil added to the 156mil for Gvardiol, Kova, and Doku that's 286mil out and an estimated net spend of about 133mil, Certainly doable. If we could move Phillips for say 25-30 all the better.Plus before the window tolmie mentioned the war chest had been approved at £300m if required?

Also, Palmer may force our hand as he wants to play first team minutes. It will be interesting over the next week or so for sure.
Interesting signing for themInteresting to see Palace linked with Julian Draxler today, might not just be Nunes we go for
On what evidence are you making this assessment? "The best player in world football" & "Two leagues ahead of any other midfield target" doesn't quite cut the mustard. This is so wrong in so many ways. Rice is way more talented and it's mostly due to his better all around skill set. Nunes' best trait is probably his ability to glide by people with deceiving pace for his size and progress the ball through dribbling. Rice literally was the best player in world football for that last season. Progressed the ball more than any other player in Europe. So Rice is better than Nunes at what Nunes does best. Essentially all other categories Rice is superior too. Rice and Bellingham are 2 leagues ahead of any other midfield target we've had this window once they were sold.
Just because we didn't sign Rice, doesn't mean we need to be silly and pretend Matheus Nunes is better. Generational talent vs a good utility/squad player. Would still love Nunes but c'mon.
Exactly...you don't...but we shall see...I've no argument against that, but I don't see how Nunes is a better player than McAllister or Szoboslai or Caicedo.
Yep, could potentially be a crazy last few days of the windowWe've brought in about 128mil on Mahrez, Laporte, Trafford, Borges, and Charles and the Lavia and Porro sell ons. I think Tolmie would be less insulted if you'd said Frank Spencer.Probably shouldn’t share this on here but @tolmie's hairdoo is really Peter Spencer, so he’s clearly very well connected !
Trust me I know him outside of this forum and his stuff his golden.I wonder where Tolmie gets his information from and how good it is ?
Christian Dailly for me! I went even more mental when he scored that own goal when we beat Blackburn.I remember his team mate steed malbranque doing the same and I hated him for it.
Gave him shit for years afterwards.
The nerve on that kid. He should be happy on the bench while getting paid. We've brought in about 128mil on Mahrez, Laporte, Trafford, Borges, and Charles and the Lavia and Porro sell ons. He doesn't talk to Kalvin much I guess. The nerve on that kid. He should be happy on the bench while getting paid.
Yep he's definitely definitely getting all his info from Romano, surprised he's not admitted it yet tbhAnd that Romano chappie
I said Declan Rice was the best player in world football at progressing the ball forward via dribbling last season. Not that he's the best player in world football, obviously. He literally carried the ball further than any other player. That is not opinion but fact. As seen here:On what evidence are you making this assessment? "The best player in world football" & "Two leagues ahead of any other midfield target" doesn't quite cut the mustard.

I would put Tolmie ahead of Romano. And that Romano chappie
Ryan Taylor turned us down in favour of Wigan when he left Tranmere in 2005.I quite miss the likes of Steve Sidwell turning us down.
