The Boxing thread

The shorts are deceptive to boot; look at the height of the waistband from his back…

Ludicrous decision and certainly influenced from Usyk; why no point deduction?
Like I said borderline.
The last image posted looks like the bottom half of the glove is low, add to that the angle of the shot.
Like the other Blue said only he truly knows.
Even a glancing blow to the knackers would smart abit, especially from a heavyweight

Well unless his knackers are 4 inches higher than what I can see it’s a massive ‘dropped bollock’

I was in the stadium tonight, no way anythings going against Usyk in that environment, although on the balance he was the better fighter. That shot from Dubois looks not as bad in photos seen since however, couldn't tell at the time.

Yeah he certainly was pissed : )
Made the fight come alive.
A glancing blow anywhere near there off anyone let alone a heavyweight boxer could smart abit.
Like you say only he knows.
It’s easy to say he barely touched him.
Fun fact.
My husky jumped up once and hit me in the knackers.
Dropped me to the floor, took me about 5 minutes to get up.
I pissed and spunked blood for a month.
True story : )
You might want to call in an animal specialist to check that "husky" out. You might have a dire wolf there, maybe a bear. Just saying.

never a low blow in a million years but there was no way they were going to let usyk lose that fight tonight and everyone knew it.

Seen on the belt given and on the belt not given but I definitely think with look on usyk a face that it caught him down below as his eyes were watering and he was blowing and anyone who’s ever been caught like that knows the pain . He was only down for that amount of time because the ref allowed and it had been given as a knockdown then I would imagine he would have got up . As for the stoppage yes it was quick but Dubois was sone at that time . Not a great night for usyk but was by far the better fighter and if there was a renatch it would be over a lot sooner .

Rules need looking at again mate as over the years they’ve been given and not been given . Usyk was not his best tonight but every fighter is never 100 percent all the time .

The first point of connection is low. Usyk's reaction speaks volumes as well. The better boxer won, and I don't see much controversy here. The whole division is waiting for the unifying fight. We need Fury - Usyk.

The ref had one look in real time, can't criticize it. It was the standard 5 mins. Points deductions are discretionary especially of the ref sees it as accidental, but may warn and deduct next time.

Anywhere in the region can wind, it doesn't have to be in the bollocks. In terms of belts being high, compared to other boxers Usyk's wasn't.

Having watched the fight again and looking at different camera angles I’m still not sure whether it’s low or not but let’s face facts apart from that punch Dubois was like a scared rabbit all night and was totally outclassed . A renatch would go the same way and frank warren is only fuming because he wanted a he Dubois - fury match and an easy night for fury . Usyk wasn’t at his best but was still way ahead in this fight .

Didn't watch the fight so I'm not fully sure of the full context, but seeing that clip a few posts above, it's definitely a low shot. If his waistband was a different colour it'd be highlighted more.

The only debate for me would be how high his shorts were and whether that should be questioned? But again, I'm going of that split second clip and nothing else so they may be at a perfectly legal height.
