No, just no. Certainly not from me anyhow. Why would any City fan be arsed if a United fan did that when a United player scored?

Now the fact that it was a joyous and excited fan who was embraced by Haaland himself, does make the situation better. However, clubs dont want to set a precedent where its ok to go on the pitch and jump on players under the justification of doing it out of pure love and passion. Personally, I think Haaland himself might ask the club not to punish him.

It is clearly stated in the T&C of entry that this strictly forbidden he has now option but to apologise and hope they give him the least severe punishment
I saw a video of a father and son Newcastle fans who let off smoke flares on the grounds of the Etihad campus, the reaction of the police was well over the top, they weren’t aware that it was forbidden on the campus , who man handled them to the ground, handcuffed and arrested then charged spending a night in the cells, missed their bus back had to get some money sent to them for train fare, and will have to return to be sentenced.
 
Just see the pics this morning. I dunno how I missed it during the game.

I always worry in celebrations players jumping on players backs without warning that their leg will buckle or some shit, but I have never seen that. The only time I see an injury was Lua Lua doing a billion somersaults, and an Arsenal player being dropped during a final win and broke his arm I believe

I think it's stupid and risky. I know Haaland is a big strong chap but it's careless and the fan shouldn't be anywhere near the pitch

Can never understand why fans have to jump on the pitch to celebrate with the players when they are surrounded by everyone else.

Me too. We all make mistakes that others struggle to comprehend. I'd genuinely be curious as to why people feel "entitled" to invade someone's space like that.
 
Here is a question for all those who are saying he is wrong for going on the pitch.......
Were you at City v Bury when a fan ran on the pitch and threw his season ticket at the team?
(Allegedly City posted it back to him a couple of days later)
The point being, emotion is football. Take that emotion away and you have... what? Chess?
He didn't have a knife, covid or a tactical nuclear weapon. He had what the fan v Bury had, passion. He loves the club. Emotion is not a criminal offence despite what the Premier League and the government want you to think.
